Oso, I am a Old Vet and I feel the same way about warriors, I stand and salute ALL warriors no matter their flag. I pray their service will be honorable, their enemies will fear them and they show mercy whenever they can because sooner or later the warriors stop fighting but the civilians must start new lives.
Thanks. Its good to see progress in how we view wars... at the bottom of it all, it's young men fighting for a commonly held ideal (right or wrong it was still the sanctioned ideal of the day.) War was war... people did some very damnable things... some hid behind authority and "orders" some did it for they feared for their own lives... but I hope humanity can move forward and understand...
El mayor de mis respetos a todos los pilotos japoneses que lucharon en la SGM. Alguien sabe que película es esta...??? Yo colecciono cine aeronáutico de la WW2...Saludos y gracias por compartir este vídeo....Saludos desde Argentina
Thanks for posting this. The Enemy Warrior does not spring into the world, fully formed and faceless - a fact that everyone should remember. I am an American, and retired military, but i do not make the mistake of seeing my enemy as faceless demons - merely other tools of another National Policy. Perhaps, one day, will find a way to settle our differences without sending our young men to die among angry strangers.
In the end of ww2, the top students also had to depart to battlefront. Look how these young officers done Noblesse Oblige based on their sportsman's relationships.
@Saura74 Thank you Saura74 Japanese movie name "EIREITACHINO OHENKA" Translation is difficult "Fighting song of Soul of the hero" (Fighting song of the university baseball)
They are culture and tradition of Japan. It fought in order to protect the country of Yamato(Japan) for a sister for a mother for those whom he loves. Benevolence, obligation, courtesy, filial piety, devotion, it is Bushido. They and all Kamikaze were heavy burden and fought. This is the historical background that had to be done so much. I pay tribute as the same Japanese.

I'm sorry, I couldn't take this seriously when both Special Attack guys took out their little baseballs just before they flew into Halsey's carriers. Which reminded Bull Halsey of the famous Japanese battle cry: "Fuck Babe Ruth!"
***** Well that was toward the end when they started to do that, even the Germans had a program to do that as well. But Hitler was against suicide for religious reasons, off course this was before he used it to escape the Russians. As for these gentlemen, when protecting your family and country you might be up for many suggestions. Just a shame, as you say, that to many good men died holding back a tide that was not going to stop.
No they didn't win because they were meant to fail. They had to learn about sowing and reaping or what you call it Karma. I really feel sorry for the men who became Kamikazis because they were realy being used and didn't even know it. And had these guys known that their own country was responsible I think they wouldn't have joined.
