Actually, this kanji and hiragana 行かないで reads Ikanaide in Japanese, not Late Autumn. Thanks for posting the video although some of the English translations are a little off and awkward. Koji Tamaki sings it beautifully.
Really beautiful song, it inspired from the woman, her name is Yoshiko Yamaguchi, her career in china she is singer since world war 2, when war is over her personal info was already reveal, so she is deported by Chinese government to japan, since she is deported she never Saw china again
''She never saw China again.'' It's a serious mistake. Yoshiko Yamaguchi visited China 5 times after the World War Ⅱ, in 1975, 1978, 1991, 1992, 1998. In 1998 she visited also Yekaterinburg in Russia and finally could meet again her best friend Lyuba Monosova for the first time in 53 years. It was Lyuba who saved her life from possibility of death penalty in 1946.
Thanks Ali, for this beautiful Japanese version song. Seems like there are several versions to this very song. Nevertheless, the vocal is pleasant to listen to. The essence of sadness is powerful though I suspect the English translation is not accurate to the T.
