Japanese railway efficiency. All done in less than 10minutes, and trains running again. In Australia, it would have taken 60 minutes to get a rescue crew there, 60 minutes to discuss what the crew would do and 70 minutes to make sure the line was ok.
It's a bicycle and pedestrian crossing. The car shouldn't have attempted to cross. I'd imagine they need to install some bollards on each side to prevent it from happening again, though it was likely clearly marked as a bicycle only crossing.
This video was shot using a telephoto lens so they look very close to each other and narrower than the actual distances . The next video shows an actual crossing from the roadside. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-NlxXw6zdtfI.html&ab_channel=Amami2007 Two traffic signs say no large track no bus.
@@shofuji023 Correct. Zoom lenses exaggerate almost everything. Here's another example: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-iYsgS08kdMY.html Another example is of the various videos of airliners trying to land in high wind. Zoom lenses make the runway appear to have peaks and valleys.

A device that detects obstacles in the railroad crossing was activated, and signals were issued to the drivers of the two trains approaching the railroad crossing to stop the trains safely. The driver of the train that had stopped earlier contacted the dispatcher via train radio, and the dispatcher informed all trains of the accident. A number of safety devices are installed on the railways of countries like Japan that transport passengers at high density. 🍀
Nobody got hurt, and everybody pitched in to clear the tracks, and get the motorist on his way. Can't beat that, plus the beautiful sound of classic DC traction!
