konami for the love of god make a yugioh anime based around one of the story lines of the lore of the cards. It would give so much fresh air to the game and franchise as a whole
Would love to get the story of one archetype per episode, with stories like Visas Starfrost and Albaz being longer specials. Master Duel's solo mode already does a lot to get players more familiar with the lore of the cards, this would just be the cherry on top.
This comment section alone proves that the archetypes of Yugioh can be such a good IP to use for extra merch. Anime, books, plushies, LITERALLY ANYTHING of these recognizable archetypes would go so hard. People would accept finally moving on from Yugi and Kaiba or Judai and his friends. THERE IS SO MUCH THAT CAN BE DONE and you can even use those future works to relaunch archetypes, give them support, make starter decks or something in the game for them because people would recognize them and be more invested in them than just good card effects.
Yeah, with the Sky Striker manga that was only in Japan, they released more monsters that appeared in that manga. They can definitely flesh out duel terminal stories, albaz, visas, etc. Lores, or even some of the older "stand alone" archetypes. What about the connection b/w lightsworn and dark world? I wanna see Dai Grefer and D.D. Warrior Lady's lives, and then some. Honesty would like a super sentai esc episode for Super Quants and to see the Tenyi story as well
I'm sick of the pandering for DM and Blue-eyes especially when it comes to the support cards that can be shove elsewhere to themes/archetypes that could use a lil boost to evolve from being card Set fillers or entry point with no support wave afterwards. but this is cool.
@@four-en-tee Agree come to MD after DL is a big relief. Omg I'm able to have D/D/D, sky striker, hero, galaxy dragon and branded despia decks after playing casually for 2 years of F2P. God bless who design and approve the idea of crafting cards 🥇
I don't think Konami realizes just how much of an absolute goldmine of content they are sitting on with this franchise. An animated adaptation of OCG Stories is just the tip of the iceberg. The World Legacy, Abyss, and Visas Starfrost lores could easily be the basis of an entire 12-episode anime each, and Duel Terminal could probably carry 2 to 3 seasons by itself even _without_ whatever they're currently building to with the new support cards. And even beyond the major storylines, you have so much you could do with smaller archetypes! You could have a heist story with the Evil Twins, or a slice of life comedy series about the Ghostricks trying to run a haunted house, or a spy thriller with SPYRAL, or a superhero action series with the various HERO archetypes! There are so, so many incredible stories to be told in this game, and I would welcome any chance to see them given the justice they deserve!
DM era alone could be an 8 episode season. That's less than a third of the game's existence. They could be throwing content like crazy. Albaz could be an entire series on its own and people would be drawn to play YGO because they saw that one cool dragon anime with amazing sakuga. They really sleepin' on it 😴
not rly anime are mostly promotional for light novels, mangas, merch and games. They themself dosen't rly make money. But you are right that they sit on a content goldmine, but for Lightnovels, Manga and Games (be it Normal Games, visuel novels or Smartphone Games).
Eeeh, a lot of their card lore is extremely stereotypical. For every interesting one, they've got five that could potentially be boring and predictable as all hell. They'd need to pull out all the stops to make the majority of them watchable. But, that being said, some of them are interesting concepts for sure.
If they do ever do it and succeed though it will probably prove to boost a deck archetypes popularity and sales like animes are proven to boost sales of the original material manga light novels as an example in this case could see cards selling for more just because of peoples attachment to the characters
To be fair, I'd say they DO realize the opportunity there, or they wouldn't have gone through the effort of creating their own animation studio. That doesn't guarantee anything obviously, but it's already a big step forward. Fingers crossed that we see some follow-through on this.
There is so much I want to say about this new animation. I just can't stop watching it over and over again. Thank you for everyone who make this dream come true. And thank everyone who for playing Yu-Gi-Oh Card Game for 25 Years.
I don't think Konami REALLY know the amount of anime they can make from the lore of various archetypes, albaz and World legacy alone can be their own universes with anime, toys, merch etc
Maybe they only made it short on some cards like Melfy, Zeus which only an episode. But others like Sky strikers, Albaz, and Visas can take a whole lot more like 6 if not more
Happy 25th to Yugioh! Thank you for making such a great game and keeping it alive for so many years! It added a lot of happiness to my childhood. Now I’m an adult and I’m still playing the game. I love this celebration video; I can see many of my favourite card characters in action for the first time. Please make more animations for the series of characters. Long live Yugioh!!! ❤
Little detail I liked about the Charmer section: Did anyone else notice that Wynn, Hiita, Eria and Aussa all seem to be in their 'Channeler'/LINK forms, specifically each having both their familiars, whereas Lyna and Dharc look to still be in their base Charmer forms. I think it's a neat little bit of consistency to the lore that L and D are notably younger and less experienced than the original quartet.
I wouldn’t be sure if that means they’re younger. If anything it sounds more like they’re less experienced which aligns with how they have less iteration of cards that the 4 main charmers got.
This not being just dark magician and blue-eyes dancing for 6 minutes was a welcome surprise. Really nice of them flashing out monsters that are most known in the card game.
Konami finally realizes that their player base is now a different group of audience than the ones who would be attracted by DM and BE, and I couldn't be happier.
If Albaz and Ecclesia don't get an anime, we fucking riot Edit: Albaz Lore will be getting it's own Legendary Collection Box with all the cards from the lore in the box (225 cards) reprints in different rarities all Ultra and Secret with 25 QCRs, 4 alternate arts and a new card in the Albaz story that has never been revealed yet. With possibly a picture book depicting the entire Albaz/Ecclesia story. So doesn't seem like we'll be getting an anime 😕 😔 Revealed this morning at Tokyo Dome. Wanted an anime 😭😭 Box is expected to release in Japan in late March and November or December in NA and Europe.
if the whole world legacy epic didn't get one, if the whole duel terminal didn't get one, albaz sure wont, but afaik sky strikers have a manga ongoing.
Kinda interesting how this card game full of disturbing monsters with hilarious flavor text evolved this much and a large variety of arts styles that appeal to various people. Even if I cannot get into modern yugioh, I am still like this tribute to it.
Yugioh community has always been like this, it's one of the biggest anime/tcg franchise in the world. This happen because this is something that never happen before, they animated the freaking actual card! It's like seeing your dream come true
Only stories are kinda cool. I stopped playing back in 2018 when the link crap ruined the game, I tried it 3 months ago and it was still the same, duels ending in just 2 turns, handtraps and negation x negation the entire duel so I officially quit it forever. One of the worst games in terms of game design, honestly.
Seriously, we NEED a Yu-Gi-Oh anime that is just self-contained episodes involving the cards themselves. They've spent years building up such amazing tales in the cards that everyone wants to see played out! The also jave practically every single genre on lockdown.
I kinda doubt writers can execute the task well without turning it into a Generic Fantasy Story. I believe Yu-Gi-Oh fans actually want more animes that resembles the original one like "the dark side of dimensions".
@@steak5599 You may be right, all I know is that I personally want to see the story of Albaz and the story of the World Chalice put to an actual anime.
Thank you Konami for making the past 25 years amazing ! ! ! Can't believe it's been that long ! ! It's also crazy to see just how much has been added to the Yu-Gi-Oh! Lore thru the years ! ! I could not help but smile thru this entire animation and the original Yu-Gi-Oh! theme playing is just 🤌🤌 Can't wait to see what you guys do with moving forward ! !

They 100% have to because that's way too easy of an investment to make for things they want to sell. It's like gacha companies making peak animations just for new banners. Hell, card games are just IRL gacha with pull rates. Probably even have say Live Twins introducing them as mascot characters and the like or a different archetypes main girl doing so to fit the feel. There is so many easy ways to promote for the new studio to do.
3:39 ALBAZ DESPIA LORE ANIMATED??????? OMMGGGG THE CARDS PLOT IS PROBABLY ONE OF THE BEST STORIES IVE EVER HEARD, AND THE FACT THERES A LOT OF CARDS ARCHETYPES CONNECTED TO THE STORY
they really should start makimg each of every single yugioh archetype as an anime, it will last us lifetime of great anime instead of shitty isekai bulshit that keeps popping.

@@harouin9263 Solfachord is the orchestra, which is why they got the ending bit to conclude the song. Unlike something like say Orcust, Solfachords being an Orchestra of Happiness is far more fitting of a celebration.
After you watch this, If you like the Zeus and Six Samurai segment, remember to watch the short version that Konami uploaded too. Each segment have some tiny bit of new animation that was not in this compiled video version.
Thank you Mr. Kazuki Takahashi, you made my child hood memorable with this card game you made. I made many friends playing your game. May you rest in peace and know that you made many kids' child hoods memorable.
As an atlantean/umi and fire King player it almost made me cry that we got a shout out. But still the animation is truly something else. Thank God Yu-Gi-Oh fans get to eat good for once.
I don't see my life without yugioh. This game brought so much joy to me, and now seeing archetypes getting an anime is a dream come true. Thanks for this Konami.
It's funny cause I just decided the other day to catch up on the new series. This looks phenomenal. I'm gonna have to read some of the mangas too now. YGO has and always will be a huge influence on my life.
The game power creeps poorly which even speed duel got corrupted needing restriction lists, let alone they milk nostalgia (blue-eyes outside using 1 to fuse with dark magician girl for dmg the dragon knight/mysterion or albaz for tyrant if not communist fusing opponent's monsters badly. At least this is different, and they are having an early days collection for some old game boy games, which is way more to bring overseas unlike the 2nd rush duel Game, where the first one had a bad English dub, a dlc permanently grayed out for fusion cards, and you needed a Konami code mid game to do deck building, or beat the game, which was stupid. Have fun when you can but don't overpay as there's tons of card battle games nowadays, let alone megaman battle network legacy collection with patch cards to speed up money and new forms for mmbn 5 and 6 help a ton.
@YamadaDesigns Im not sure its confirmed, but Konami did make an animation studio of their own, and if you play YuGiOh you should know there are many stories, some newer ones would be Albaz and Visas So its not impossible that they might make an anime of cards
Yu-Gi-Oh is my Favourite Game since i was child. And the Legacy of Kazuki Takahashi will always be continue in our heart always. Thank you, Yu-Gi-Oh, Kazuki-Sensei, and Konami for making this for long time
Seeing these characters come to life on a animation really made me realise their potential. Please Konami! Make this dream real! A long animation of some sort!
This only cements how all over the place the style of Yu-Gi-Oh is and I love it. Having cards along the lines of El Shaddoll Construct, Time Wizard, Utopia Dragonar, Dark Sanctuary, and something as crazy as Cactus Fighter
I love Yu-Gi-Oh. Here's to more years of the legacy! Heck, I bet it'll be so dope to see certain cards get their own series of some sort of inverse thing, that'll be awesome.
I wish this wasn't just an ad. an anthology anime series showcasing the archetypes of yugioh would be phenomenal. I would binge watch it and re watch it over and over again. it would be amazing to see the monsters of yu gi oh allowed to shine unshackled by the card game.
imagine a charmers anime?? where they litterally explore through the world of the ygo monsters and stuff. would take like 1000 episodes each but god damn as they explore meeting a bunch of archetypes, going through the dual terminal war thing, and coming in contact with shaddoll and construct, then having a big moment where evilswarm does their shit. this would be so cool
