Before Jackie Chan and the comedy kung-fu craze began to peak around the late 70s, Bruce Liang was the real thing. No wires and no speeded-up scenes. A true (but unsung) KF star.
梁小龍 was 1 of the kickers of his time, i still remember some of his best moves in this old tv series. Loved the way he kicks ASS, nice to see him back in the new HK movies too.
I love this show in that I see Chen Zhen grew up as time goes by regardless the circumstances he is facing. He is so brave and patriotic, he never forgets he is Chinese, brave as always, loved that kid, his life was lost is also because to save that kid from cunny Japanese. That's impressive!
Well after 21 years my mystery is finally fulfilled of how Bruce Liang's Chen Jian went down. But it did not stop Bruce Liang to do the Chen Jian 2000 t.v. series in China! One of these days, I will be able to see the entire two series!
Yeah! I remember this on vhs! ...lol this was the business, If my whites friends knew i had this to watch in my teens back then they would have been so jealous..
Every old TV series is the very best. Nowaday just rely on technologies and special effects! Especially the camera works where it twists left & right/up & down.. sigh! Therefore, if we, fan, want some real fight scenes, we have to look for oldies.
