I wonder how many times half-naked chef got his big belly burned by splashing hot grease?! Street cooking is one thing ... but please you still have to follow public health regulations. Oops, there's none!!!
Is absolutely unhygienic, look at him, he is without a shirt, the chopping board is very dirty, they don't clean or wash off the pervious chopping. You will get food poisoning or diarrhoea from eating at such unkempt places, just because is cheaper.
I pass, when it comes to eating here... very unsanitary... the COVID 19 was hinted to have come to such surroundings.. Chinese people never learn... terrible way ... what happened to health ministry there ... sleeping ! ..they are openly doing there cooking in the street ! am I right
There's nothing so unsanitary as you describe. And streetside cooking is not exclusive to HK , you see this all over Asia - China, Vietnam, Thailand, Taiwan, and also in many other parts of the world. Everything is done out in the open and the food is fresh, all prepared and then cooked in plain view. I much rather eat here than in some fancy Western place where everything appears nice and clean but we know nothing about what goes on behind the door. BTW, the Asian countries have the COVID-19 situation very much under control, unlike the "clean" Western Countries. Just look at the numbers.
