My God father was a diplomat from North Korea to Hanoi from 1955 to 1972. After he left Vietnam I miss him so much and now I am in Chicago for 38 years and still looking for a chance to be United with him even I know that the chance is getting slim by now. He may be pass away but I still keep hoping. He helped us a lot when the war in VN without food. He gave us food and medicine so we can survive thru out the war and when I went to the US all I want to find him so I can help him but many letter went without answer. This song was so beautiful and sung so beautifully by this wonderful singer that it's a surprise that some have disliked it. This dislike is quite possibly due to fact that it's a north korean song which is a shame really bcoz beautiful music should be appreciated for it's own sake.
