봄 맞이 ‘옛 그림 속 꽃과 나비’ 전시 개최!
국립중앙박물관은 봄을 맞이해 심화전 “옛 그림 속 꽃과 나비”를 개최합니다. 상설전시관 서화실에서 꽃과 나비가 그려진 조선시대 그림 15건을 전시해 옛사람들의 꽃과 나비에 대한 시선과 다양한 표현 방법을 소개합니다. 오랜 기간 우리와 함께 한 꽃과 나비는 우리 문화유산 속에 다양한 모습으로 녹아있습니다. 옛사람들은 복을 구하기 위해, 때로는 옛 선현들의 고사를 떠올리며, 때로는 덕을 쌓거나 아름다움을 감상하기 위해 꽃과 나비를 그렸습니다. 꽃이 피고, 나비가 나는 봄, 박물관에서 그림으로 만나보길 바랍니다.
Joseon-era Koreans cultivated their minds by growing flowers, and they studied the ways of nature by observing the lives of insects. The hobby of growing flowers was especially popular among the literati and intellectuals during and after the eighteenth century. An interest in flower paintings increased accordingly, and a vast body of butterfly paintings were produced as well. These butterfly paintings embodied wishes for longevity and were favored by many. In this season of blooming flowers and flying butterflies, it is hoped that this exhibition can offer visitors an opportunity to take a closer look at flowers and butterflies in old paintings and better understand the thoughts and feelings of Koreans of the past.
