All five Airbus 330-200s owned by Korean Air will be leased to T'way Air within 2024.
This is to fulfill the condition of approval of Korean Air's merger with Asiana Airlines, 'transferring four European route slots to T'way Air and granting access to aircraft operating on those routes'. This is leased by dispatching not only aircraft but also pilots. The 332s are scheduled to fly on routes where Korean Air is handing over slots (Paris, Rome, Barcelona, Frankfurt).
Korean Air's 332 was introduced in the 2010s due to delays in the delivery of the Boeing 787-9, and was used on mid- to long-distance routes with low demand, such as Dubai, India, Istanbul, and Brisbane.

Korean Air's plan to replace A330 with B787

Previously, T'way Air was at a time when the future of the aviation industry was uncertain due to the coronavirus in 2022.
We took a risk(?) by aggressively introducing three A330-300s, and as a result, the introduction and stable operation of the 330-300 contributed to the benefits of this route distribution and aircraft lease, making it a successful management decision that led to LCC's first direct route to Europe. It appears that it was.
