퍼플키스(PURPLE KISS) 'Ponzona' MV - REACTION 

I don't feel I really expressed my opinion well here lol. No idea what the song is about but, the vocals are definitely pretty notable for some of the members. I feel like their sound is mature from the start which is pretty cool! Visuals went crazy here, the members and the sets despite their more simpler/minimal nature (LOVE the water scenes lol). The dance break was unexpected stylistically but I figured it'd be there. Not every song needs to hit you in the face from the rip to become one of your favs, but man it's an easier ride if you love the song from the start. I don't feel like this one would be added to my playlist since after I post this video I've likely already forgotten the way that the song went. Here for the maturity and subtle jams that I'll assume this EP has.

they are mamamoo's sister group now. mamamoo and purple kiss are both under rbw (rainbow bridge world). i really loved this song bc it's so different for a gg debut and a 4th gen gg especially and also for kpop in general honestly. it's rare to hear a title track with this genre. this honestly sounds more of like a second gen song. the rapper's name is Yuki, the purple haired girl is Goeun, and the one with the bob is Dosie. also their intro performance video for their debut ep had a lot of ppl saying it reminded them of billie eilish 😅

Their debut trailers are also really good each member has her own original song to showcase themselves every song is so different which make every member unique in the group

They are in RBW the same label as Mamamoo and they are more vocally focused just like Mamamoo in fact all RBW groups are and they are like a mix of Mamamoo, dreamcatcher, (G)- idle and Billie Eilish. They are a really good group and it’s a really strong debut. And I agree with you I do think it’s a branding song.

The atmosphere in the video is a coven. I love PURPLE KISS, because it's another of the few groups that come out of the KPop replica box, and above all because it's not in me to be herd, if you know what I mean...

Idk this is definitely one of my favorite debuts ever hit exactly the vibe and style i like(the song itself at least)...i think they could have done a better job at showing some of their strengths and show all the members more but then again they did that with their pre-debut stuff

purple kiss has much potential. i haven't heard the...what i think is a ep? but i listen to the predebuts and covers and they are pretty good. like you said i do think they are mostly focused on vocals because these girls have voices that are😍 but then again they are under the same company as mamamoo. which to give the answer to what you said/asked earlier they are under rbw along with onewe and oneus too.

This is very different and new from all the other groups that’s why i love it

DC, Idle, and MMM-def the groups they've been compared to the most. DC for the debut concept as well as My Heart Skip A Beat, Idle for the generation and....vibes? plus self-composing *along w/MMM* , their older sister group who they share *vocal power* with.

Theu release 2 predebut songs before ehicu is Red side (kind of rock / girl crush concept) My heart skip a beat & Blue side Can we talk again (kind of soft, ballad concept). Red + blue = Violet / Purple = Ponzoña (debut song). They are from the same company as MAMAMOO, VROMANCE ONEUS & ONEWE.

Yeah as someone who followed them pre debut this song is unfamiliar at first and truly a grower. Especially when you listen to it outside the music video. But I personally think you would vibe with their Bside Skip Skip which they performed alongside this! Also I appreciate your honest reactions which are so rare on kpop RU-vid

They reminded me of 2NE1 "IT HURTS "dark concept... I like their predebut songs more than this one musically but for the MV I love it. The concept was flawless. I'm glad it wasn't cutsie. My fave song off the album is Period & My heart skip a beat

Not sure who billy aylish is but to me, this things just hits home for me, I love this witch/dark/curses concept. PIXY is also a new group with that concept, but very different music. You mentioned Dreamcatcher as well and I definitely see the resemblance in terms of concept. Music wise, again, very different :)

You can’t necessarily say there’s a focus in a group for their debut song, maybe a focus for the SONG but not the group.

You probably recognise some of the member like Keita & Dohwan from YGTB , Won ( former member of 1THE9 ) , idk if you watch Produce X ( there's Hyunbin ) ,also idk if you already react to High School Rapper s4 ( there's a kid named TAG ,he also a CIIPHER member ) I hope you make a reaction to their debut song - I LIKE YOU ( few of the members got credit for producing/ lyrics ) .. this debut song is a vibe but to be honest they use too much autotune ( i mean i get it since Rain use too much autotune these days but i hope they can show their potential next time )
