Hwasa has had a tough time in the industry. She was told she was too "ugly", too "fat", and too "dark" to make it as a Idol. So after being shut down a lot, she decided if beauty standards are too narrow, she would make her own. She & the others in Mamamoo decided that they would be themselves. And as a group, they are so POWERFUL on stage. As soloists, they command attention. Hwasa, Solar, Wheein, and Moonbyule all have wonderful songs.
