Hey guys, today, we are going to look at some of the extraordinary carvings of the ancient Transformer temple.
What is this? It looks like a circle with some weird details, but when we take a closer look, we see something fascinating. There are 6 guys who are tangled up to form a wheel like alignment. Look at how each guy has put his legs on top of the guy below him. But look carefully, each guy has one arm hanging outside the circle, but inside the circle, see how each one is holding the next guy’s hand. Who are they and why are they doing this? If you observe carefully, you may be able to understand how they represent our six senses.
Look at this one, a very interesting carving. A pretty woman is putting a red dot on her forehead while looking at the mirror. Now, if you watch my videos regularly, you will say what’s really interesting, you have shown this type of carving a dozen times before, right? No this one is different. What she is holding is not only a mirror, but it is also a lid for the pot nearby. That’s why the sculptor has carved the pot nearby and look at the mirror, see how it is shaped with those 2 grooves to fit on top of the pot. This is really fascinating, because today, we can buy water bottles like this. It is a bottle but the lid, has something fancy, like a mirror, like a tiny little game on top of it or something like that. But ancient Indians were doing the same thing many centuries ago, they had used two in one water bottles with a mirror on the lid.
Here, on these pillars you can see these warriors, at the top you can see these horsemen, and at the bottom, you can see these foot soldiers and helpers. This guy on the horse is a brave warrior, probably nobody can defeat him in the battlefield, but you know how he is gonna die?
Look at this guy, what is he doing at the bottom? Yes, he is going to prick him with a small needle like weapon. Why? What can this teeny tiny prick with a needle do to this horseman, right? That needle is smeared with a deadly poison that will kill the warrior in a few minutes. That’s right, the greatest of the warriors are not defeated in direct combat, they are destroyed by treachery, right? Look at how the guy is keeping an eye on the other helper making sure he does not see what is going on. In the other hand, he has another needle or pointy thing smeared with poison. He is going to go to another warrior and continue killing them all silently.
In another temple, I have shown you how one man is shown stabbing another man from the back, and that guy himself is being stabbed in the back, by another man. So there are many levels of betrayals and double crossings going on since time immemorial.
Here you can see a brave warrior pulling out his sword from the case or sheath. He would go toe to toe with his enemies. But what if his enemies are not humans? What if he had to fight animals in the battlefield? No, I don’t mean the horses or elephants, what if he had to fight animals like lions and tigers?
And you may think, Praveen, this is weird, right? It is a battle field, its not a jungle, why would you find lions and tigers here? No, in ancient times, people used wild animals in battles. Around the world, people used leopards, lions and other big cats. In Cambodia, remember I showed you how rhinos were used in battlefield. We can see these evidences in carvings of Angkor Wat temple. And we can see lions, tigers and leopards used in battlefields. So when the enemy unleashes these crazy wild animals, how would you fight against them? Ancient Indians normally used swords to fight against other humans, but to fight these wild animals, you need a very different weapon.

Learning history about different cultures are not a competition of whose better...we haven't even begun to finish uncovering ancient Egyptian culture and whose to say ancient middle east wasn't full of African people? To try to separate history in order to further competition between races as if there is disdain for acient African civilizations is silly. Also this is one man's interpretation while fascinating is not fact, it's well researched theory and I'm sure there is great truth but be cautious on RU-vid about anything g you have not read yourself or incites racebaiting. I love learning about all cultures even though every non-african culture has practiced genocide against Africa while colonizing and cultivating all their resources

The Samudra Manthana ('Churning of the ocean') is a major episode in Hinduism that is elaborated in the Vishnu Purana, a major text of Hinduism. The Samudra Manthana explains the origin of the elixir of eternal life, amrita. Indra, the King of Svarga*, was riding on his divine elephant when he came across the sage Durvasa, who offered him a special garland given to him by an apsara. The deity accepted the garland and placed it on the trunk (sometime the tusks or the head of the elephant in some scriptures) of Airavata (his mount) as a testament to his humility. The flowers had a strong scent that attracted some bees. Annoyed by the bees, the elephant threw the garland on the ground. This enraged the sage, as the garland was a dwelling of Sri (fortune) and was to be treated as a prasada or a religious offering. Durvasa cursed Indra and all the devas to be bereft of all strength, energy, and fortune. In the battles following the incident, the devas were defeated and the asuras, led by Bali, gained control over the three worlds. The devas sought Vishnu's wisdom, who advised them to treat with the asuras in a diplomatic manner. The devas formed an alliance with the asuras to jointly churn the ocean for the nectar of immortality, and to share it among themselves. However, Vishnu assured the devas that he would arrange for them alone to obtain the nectar. The churning of the Ocean of Milk was an extensive process. Mount Mandara was uprooted and used as the churning rod and Vasuki, a naga who resided on Shiva's neck, became the churning rope after being promised that he would get his share. While carrying the massive mountain, several devas and asuras fell to their deaths and some perished due to sheer exhaustion. Vishnu flew upon his mount Garuda and revived them all, and placed Mandara on his mount and carried it towards its destination, the midst of the ocean. Reaching their destination, Vasuki coiled himself around Mandara. Vishnu counseled the devas to tug from the head of the serpent and the asuras the tail, but perceiving it as inauspicious the asuras refused. The devas relented and held the tail henceforth and the churning commenced. However, Mandara was too enormous and sank to the bottom of the ocean. Vishnu, in the form of his Kurma avatara (turtle), came to the rescue and supported the mountain on his shell. The Samudra Manthana bequeathed a panoply of substances from the Ocean of Milk. One of them was the lethal poison known as halahala. In some variations of the story, the poison escaped from the mouth of Vasuki as the demons and gods churned. This terrified the gods and the demons because the poison was so powerful that it could destroy all of creation. The asuras were poisoned by fumes emitted by Vasuki. Despite this, the devas and the asuras pulled back and forth on the snake's body alternately, causing the mountain to rotate, which in turn churned the ocean. Shiva consumed the poison to protect the three worlds, the consumption of which gave a blue hue to his throat, offering him the epithet Neelakantha (the blue-throated one). * Svarga or Heaven, the 5th relm of existence out of 14, the ocean located below the 14 relms and Humans live in the 7th relm, the lowest of the higher 7 relm of existence. Devas reside in the 5th relm while Asuras in the lower 7 relms, other higher relms are for rishis, yogis who attained enlightenment, it is said human who are fully enlightened can travel through these relms. The Material world or the creation happens in the 1st relm. The higher the relm the more spiritual the lower the more materialistic. 100 years of 1st relm is equal to 311 trillion solar years in the 7th relm of Humans also the considered to be the age of this Brahmanda (universe), hence time moves differently in different relms.

Praveen sees from scientific point of view. We should stop believing in the stories and see as the same. The puranas are a texts or jist of the all the information that existed in ancient India. The Brahmins who came in later compiled all this information gathered from various texts of the Indian knowledge web and weaved into stories to make it interesting. The ajivakas, chaaruvakas, samanas were the original Indian group of torch bearers of knowledge who recorded, in Pali and prakrit, the information of science and technology of their times. They were all contemporaries of Budda and Mahaveera.

@@thatdude3977 What I believe is that our ancestors were far more interconnected than any of us realize, mostly because of the biases built into our cultural perspectives. I believe, as our ancestors did, that we share Progenitors and that they were the foci for our legends and histories. But I also believe in a Heavenly Father with a redemptive plan that is far more gracious than either we or our mortal ancestors are or often were. So, apologies if I seem backwards to you, because I believe… as did our ancestors.. that we are not only accountable to our ancestors, but also towards the Creator under Whose influence.. Directly and/or indirectly.. this Human and planetary development has been guided throughout the Ages. Since we are in the End of the Kali Yuga, I certainly understand your skepticism and assumptions about “my beliefs”, but I find your tone derivative. I think that’s unfortunate, because after the Great Flood, I don’t think The Plan was to Repeat the mistakes towards one another that resulted in the reason for the cataclysm in the first place. I’m old fashioned like that. But it’s okay still, because the faith I have is not dependent upon anyone else’s opinion or approval, because being kind, gracious and open minded doesn’t cost anything more than simply being capable of listening and learning from others as objectively and courteously as possible. So you do you as you see fit, and I’ll just keep plodding along as the soul I am in my inevitable march towards the Ultimate Answer of what comes Next. Blessings to you and all you cherish, dude. The needle you are describing as poisonous is also mentioned in Greek Mythology as an arrow which will kill the great warrior Achilles from the same spot that is his ankle which is his only weak point. Below is from wikipedia: “Achilles' most notable feat during the Trojan War was the slaying of the Trojan prince Hector outside the gates of Troy. Although the death of Achilles is not presented in the Iliad, other sources concur that he was killed near the end of the Trojan War by Paris, who shot him with an arrow. Later legends (beginning with Statius' unfinished epic Achilleid, written in the 1st century AD) state that Achilles was invulnerable in all of his body except for one heel, because when his mother Thetis dipped him in the river Styx as an infant, she held him by one of his heels. Alluding to these legends, the term "Achilles' heel" has come to mean a point of weakness, especially in someone or something with an otherwise strong constitution. The Achilles tendon is also named after him due to these legends.”

But it's been only in the last couple years since I've been watching Praveen's channel that I've been able to fully appreciate these structures. Maybe that's the problem, nobody has bothered to explain them like a good man such as Praveen. Before Praveen , they used to "creep me out"....not sure why. But now, I have a fuller understanding. Most of the times these carvings are not to the scale, this is true in almost all temples. In some cases if the carvings are depicting any characters/situations from the ancient stories involving giant beings then naturally they will have the size difference.

One reason might be in India we believe that in the past people was more stronger and might be bigger also and that is mentioned in some old text. And another treason to believe this theory is we have some of the old weapons of those old time and if you look at weapons its not possible for todays people to hold such swords or other weapons in hand and ride horse they very heavy and bigger. Its just my point of view.

You refer to the artworks in the temple as " carvings " but in reality most of them are actually castings made from molds and then glued or attached somehow to an underlying wooden framework . I've seen videos of other temples where pieces of the plaster or cement that was used to make the interior decorative castings have broken off over time and you can clearly see the wooden framework underneath .

Praveen, Namaste, you certainly have an eye for detail and an intellect for ancient carvings! The avatar sculptures are subjective as per the sculpture's interpretation. Beyond an exhibition, surely the significance of the temple will remain unknown to our era. These ancient temples reveal a bridge of materialism and spiritualism for us to ponder? What is the meaning? The eye of the beholder, here, is profound as interpretation would require a Rasik Saint to decipher. Thank you for the sharing of tour of temple. As always, you are the best!!
