If Tesla will do good regardless of who is in the administration, why would Elon support the felon or any party for that matter? Elon should not get too close. Support Trump OK. It's his right but it seems many folks that get close to Trump end up in trouble for some reason or another. Trump has an uncanny skill to get folks to do the wrong things. The situation feels like a risk to my Tesla investment.
I'm sure Elan is fully on Kamalas radar. He endorsed Trump, he called Kamala the "M" word. Kamala has said the government can and will "snatch" patents and they will set prices/margins. This aint good. I'm getting exhausted. My TSLA average is to high😢
Luckily you have the ability to sell your shares if you feel that is a risk. I think Elon looks at the choices and looks at the actual results of the different policies and decides that Regardless of the ideology or personalities of the candidates, Trump is the better choice. Hard to argue that it’s embarrassing that these are our two choices.
Many people believe that America is simply too big and too powerful to collapse but many people also believed that about the Soviet Union. No one in 1985 would have believed that the USSR, the mighty "Evil Empire,” would be a disintegrating mess in just a few years. I told that to someone last year who said "But the Soviet Union was a collection of separate countries.” What we have here though is a collection of separate realities which is a much deadlier situation. Could it be that the reason why America is so rapidly unraveling externally is because it no longer exists as a country internally?

So many 'what-if's'! Personally, I think Musk is demonstrating publically that it's honorable to be politically outspoken and also lead a company forward. We have had decades of cowards in CEO positions and in Board Rooms. I think the tide is finally turning. Adults in the room have already decided who is best to move the country forward regarding policy, socially, economically and defensively.
With Trump supporters no mater what he says or how many times he shits on their heads, they keep coming back for more with a smile on their faces, love in their eyes and money in their hands for him.
Elon should be a better businessman and hedge his bets. A good businessman makes sure that he benefits from whoever becomes president. You don't burn all but one bridge behind you. Elon likes to gamble, go all in. I believe he sees Trump as a way to buy access to power and influence.

Hi Randy, Tesla did well under Biden. Why should it be different under Harris? I think the market will decide whether Tesla will be successful or not. Only my opinion, but having Trump elected will have more negative effects geo-politically and nationally, compared to which the Tesla stock price will pale. Btw, I own a large share in TSLA as well, but we should not put stock price over more important topics.
There is nothing good and "important" that a harris regime can offer, other than destroyed cities and states, and the vicious lawfare that we have already seen. Remember how she loved the burning-cities back in 2020 and said that she hopes it never stops? This is unspeakably tree- so-nous.
When, and not if Kamala Wins, and better to do it beforehand Musk needs to send her a nice letter. He should say, My companies contribute to the defense and energy security and employment in the US and to the environmental protection of the atmosphere and to safe progress in AI in these ways... I would like to work with the government in achieving these goals, and I will do my utmost to help you serve the American people in whatever way I can be helpful. I only ask that my companies be treaty fairly by your administration, and that you not dismiss the great capabilities that Tesla has to help America stay in the car manufacturing business.
Agreed, by a larger margin than many believe. Elon is certainly welcome to have his political preference, but, where he has shot himself in the foot, is, as the leader of maybe the most important company in the world, he has very publically aligned himself with the worst candidate in generations for the Presidency of the US. As a progressive democrat, I don't much care about the political preferences of my neighbors, it is none of my business. Starting with the EV-1, the vast majority of buyers of EVs have been people with a progressive outlook for our great country. I don't even care that Randy carries his political leanings onto his videos. Elon is a great leader of a great company. I bet that after his disastrous "interview" with Trump, he had thoughts that he had backed the wrong candidate. I hope, pray, that President Harris will offer Elon an olive branch.

Hey Randy, don’t knock Canada. We have universal health care, our schools aren’t shooting galleries for gun loving lunatics, our quality of life is top tier. The US is great and has much natural beauty but your politics is wacked and the US is definitely not the best county in the world. You guys need to travel more and educate yourselves.
Unfortunately, as long as our current version of the GOP retains any meaningful power, any hope of universal health care is a pipe dream, and they will block any attempt to make our schools and society in general a safer place to be.

Believe me, this is the last place I want to be. Selling two Canadian properties in the next couple months which I'm sure some of Trudeau's newly arrived 3rd worlders will be happy to buy up. There is absolutely no reason for Musk to make a bet on Trump winning. He needs to have friends in both camps, not make any unnecessary enemies for tesla.

I recently read a New York Times article linked on Yahoo News about how democrats are already planning how they’ll undermine and cripple a Trump presidency if he’s elected. Seems to me America has become ungovernable which means no one can “win” the election. America has lost the ability to function as a country due to ever more severe internal fragmentation.
