It was so cool of you guys to support this project by supplying us with everything that we needed. I hope viewers will not only give your line a shot, but also realize what a huge support you are to the detailing community. Thanks again.
It was a pleasure to have you as a special guest once again on my RU-vid channel Rick! You are a great friend and a wonderful human! I had such a blast with you at the event in Chicago! I can't wait for the next time we'll be able to meet. You make such good and entertaining videos and I wish you continued success with your channel!! Say hi to Easton for me!
He saved up his allowance and made a great choice! I remember upgrading the wheels on my 1984 Thunderbird Turbo Couple to 16-inch 5-spokes back in the early 90’s. I felt like a rock star!
Easton is a lucky young man to have such a good uncle who is willing to show him and involve him in the finer points of detailing. The BMW looks amazing!
I thought I was going nuts. I was like "Is this a re-upload? Why do I remember this video?" Then I read the description loll! I'm still gonna watch it again .
Wow, what a phenomenal detail, and very cool that you did that for him, I know he is pretty stoked to have an immaculate looking exterior. Good call on the badge delete, looks so much cleaner that way. What a nice vehicle he's driving around. Oh and those wheels, I had the same ones on my Mustang I had a couple years ago. Niche Misanos.
Thanks. It is nice to have Pan as a supporter and mentor. It is also nice to viewers such as yourself that take the time to watch what I create and comment so positively. Stay RAD!
@@RADGarage I saw it on Pan’s channel first…but enjoyed the vid again. As I replied there, this reminded me of my first car…a ‘65 Pontiac LeMans convertible. Thanks! 👍👍
I really appreciate you giving the video a second view. I think the vast majority of my viewers already caught this video on Pan's channel, but I wanted it to be here as well as part of my video library.
The BMW looks stunning and you spoiled him with the decontamination towel. Once you use the decontamination towel the clay bar just sits on the shelf. Hopefully a ceramic coating video to the BMW is coming soon! Thank you for another great video!
I agree about the clay towel. Makes such quick work of the decon process. Not sure what you mean about the coating video, though? Are you hoping for a wash video showing the performance of the DIY Detail 5-year coating we applied to this one?
@@RADGarage definitely am looking forward to the update of the coating! You did outstanding g work jeweling the paint and then you applied the gloss master!
Hi Rick 🖐! I wish that I had an uncle like you back when I was 18 to teach me how to properly and efficiently look after my car. Your nephew now has a leg up on other kids his age; it is one thing to watch videos and learn from them, but you can’t beat hands on experience. What a great friendship you have with Pan! He certainly is a gentleman sharing his channel with you, show casing your very talented video style to his many thousands of viewers. Best wishes!! Cheers!!….
Yes, this project satisfied in many different ways. Allowing me to show my nephew all that is necessary to completely detail his car was very rewarding for me. Having it featured on Pan's channel and sharing his kind words about me and my work was also very affirming for me. Creating content has always been something I have enjoyed, but using this content to connect with other people is something I never really imagined would mean so much to me.
Yeah, I had to upload this family project video on my own channel even though most viewers have probably already seen it over on Pan's. It was a very rewarding few days of work.
I think this was a really nice project! I guess Easton will be coming back for maintenance washes in your garage ;) Tha car looks fantastic. Nice work, both of you.
Thanks for the kind words. Helping family members return their cars to super clean condition is highly satisfying. I just wish I had more time to do such a thing.
Great video Rick. Just lovely that you spend quality car detailing time with your nephew. I’m sure he’ll remember this forever and his car looks amazing!! 👏👏👏
Congratulations Rick, another fantastic video, and I think the idea of getting your nephew to enjoy detailing the car is wonderful. It does wonders for young minds to teach how to take care of our things, congratulations
I couldn't agree more with what you have said here. My nephew has always been quite particular about his belongings, so it makes complete sense that he is so committed to caring for his car. I wish more people took pride in their belongings.
Hi Rick ! As I already said before, this is a such a nice video you shared with us. Uncle of the Year for sure ! DIY Details products did a wonderful job and I have to say I really wish they would soon arrive in France ! I am a Gyeon guy, you know that, but definitely open to other brands and Ivan tickled my curiosity with his product line. Nothing more to say for me. Happy for Easton to have his car brought up to the RAD level 😉 I just love the connection Pan and you were able to make since you two met in Chicago and also with the other detailers. Wish this will bring up your channel to the level you really deserve Rick. Fingers crossed 🤞🤞 Your French mate Gregg Stay RAD
Yes, meeting Pan in person was a great experience. Making that connection with him has inspired me to keep elevating my detailing and videography and I am confident we will find even more opportunities to work together. Thanks for your ongoing support of the things I do, Gregg. It means a lot.
Amazing polishing work on this car, your ability to cover every surface is incredible. I am an intermediate enthusiast who would like to start to apply ceramic coatings. Any recommendations for coatings that are suitable (easy to apply) for first timers/beginners? Thanks Rick!
The advancement of coatings over the past 5 or so years has been incredible. They all seem to be so much easier to work with. The DIY Detail line of coatings, the Armour Supply and Gyeon coatings are among my favourites. You really can't go wrong with any of them.
Shopping the market for used cars was tricky. His family wanted him to have something that he would take pride in while also providing AWD since the icy roads in winter are so treacherous around here. It was actually a pretty decent deal all things considered. I just hope it doesn't give him any issues because repairs could be costly. Thanks for watching.
I don’t level it after application. will go over it for a little while just to ensure the dressing is properly levelled and balanced and then walk away.
It was fun to switch up the format. I won’t watch and rewatch this one though since I don’t enjoy watching and listening to myself. I much prefer the music video ones. As for the M3, I won’t disagree with you.
Hi, I miss those times where a car is only washed by hand and protect with a wax. From time to time the paint was polished. For me that’s more than enough.I don’t use clay. Sometimes I see RU-vidrs here who wash a virtually clean car.
Yeah, those were simpler times. Truthfully, my basic wash isn’t drastically different than the ones I performed back in my youth. The clay is only necessary prior to the application of a ceramic coating. I often perform projects on cars that are very well cared for. I understand it doesn’t play to the camera as well as some of these disaster washes, but my channel isn’t designed to dazzle viewers with amazing turnarounds because that’s not true to what I do. The channel just chronicles the real life projects I tackle when I have the time and energy. Thanks for watching!
Hi Rick, I'm Alessandro from ITALY, I would like to be there with you, I haven't been able to wash the car yet, we've had too many commitments and I have very little time now, but I promise you that when I have time I'll make a better video than the other one, anyway this DIY DETAIL line is very good, I will try it in the future, should these products be diluted with water? However, I was right to ask you which for you is the best line that you have used up to now, and now you are making me want to buy them all, to try....YOU ARE AMAZING RICK, THANK YOU SO MUCH SEE YOU SOON, SAY HELLO TO CANADA , ONE OF THE BEST PLACES I HAVE VISITED, IF WE RETURN I WILL COME TO SEE YOU, as soon as I have time I'll send you the video, take care dear.....GREETINGS FROM ITALY ❤👍✌😉
Always nice to hear from you Alessandro. I cannot choose a favourite line of products. I have too many products from too many lines to narrow it down to just one. At some point, I will share with viewers the products I love the most, but I could never pick one favourite. I hope you understand. DIY Detail products come in the 16oz bottles ready to use, but you can also buy the 1-gallon sizes and some of those products such as their APC "All Clean" can be diluted to fit different usages. I hope they become available in Italy. I know Yvan and Nick are working on it.
@@RADGarage Hi Rick, I'm Alessandro, it's also a great pleasure for me to talk to you and receive information from you who are a MASTER, I understand very perfectly that you have many product lines and you can't choose a favourite. I certainly take into consideration different product lines that you use, where in Italy and Europe they are not in circulation, now I only have the Adam's line, except the leave-in product, in the future I will try different product lines...Thanks again, I wanted to ask you for some information. I have a dear friend who collects cars. He needs to fix the leather seats. It's a Mercedes from 1956, the seats have never been treated. The color has almost gone and there are cracks all over the seat. could I point it out to him? Are you saying it could be resolved? I'll have a video sent to me so I can pass it on to you and then you let me know
Thanks Rick, if you send me the video where would you prefer that I send it to you? Tell me which products might be suitable if it can be resolved, and the steps that need to be taken..., then let me know Rick as soon as you can, it's not urgent, don't worry, thank you very much, Hello dear😉👍✌
Amazing results Rick. How hard was that paint? I had a black BMW covertible I polished over summer and practically had to lay on the polisher with a super aggresive combo to pull the scratches out. Had amazing results though.
There's no denying the quality of this car. I'm glad he was able to get a car of this quality at a reasonable price, especially in this crazy used car market we are experiencing here.
