His menus are designed to be an experience aside from tasting them, they aren't to just sit an eat something sweet after dinner. This is considered art and art is a luxury tbh, that's what you pay for basically.

If you (I think I can safely assume you were one of those people I directed my essay towards) were indeed making a joke, then forgive me, but I think it’s a pretty safe bet to also assume that all of those “jokes” were in fact honest opinions. With zero real experience, people were describing what they just saw as complete garbage. I mean, seriously? Look, coming from someone who loves tasting menus and has eaten his way through many, even the most well-known chefs occasionally do send out dishes that don’t work.
