To put a monster truck into some perspective in size and weight: largest vehicle I've owned was a 1985 Ford F350. Crew cab (4 doors) rear dually axle (4 wheels on 1 axle) and powered by a 7.5 litre V8. It's over 6.4 meters long, 2 meters tall and 2.7 meters wide due to the dually axle. It weighs over 2,700 kilograms. Perfectly legal to drive by anyone with a standard "C class" license. (A and B class are commercial.) A truck like mine is incredibly common in America. A Monster Truck is twice the height of my little beast, is powered by a 9.5 litre V8 burning Methanol and weigh 5,500 kilograms. Funny enough, my truck is equipped to tow 6,800 kilos.
There is something that we have you may not know about...miniatures. Think of a blown V8 in all its superchargedand chromed glory. Now shrink that down to 5 inches. And they SOUND MEAN AS HELL. Everything perfectly to scale. Worth a look
my own top 5 in terms of truck design 1. Crushsatation (Aka the monster lobster) 2. Dragoniod (this lists #1) 3. Monster Mutt (Newer design) 4. Higher Education (the bus truck) 5. El Toro Loco
Luv your vids. My son has worked for monster jam for six years. It’s been a good experience for him. He went from traveling nowhere to having been everywhere in the world.
He's a Chief. He is responsible for Zombie and another one. I forget the name. Since he's been there for over 5 years, he can be a driver when a position is available. He's seen in the background a lot on tv shows. Hope he drives someday. Thanks for asking.
Two of my favorite are Monster mutt (They are a dog with a tounge and tail!) And El Toro Loco (A bull shaped truck where steam comes out of the nose!) Also, love your videos, could you possibly look into the Hoonigan Gymkhana, specifically Gymkhana 7?!
I find it funny that Jurassic Attack (The dinosaur one), Ice Cream Man, Higher Education, and Time Fly's are on this list. Non of them are "Monster Jam" Trucks, basically meaning they aren't owned by Monster Jam and compete outside of the discipline as independently owned and operated trucks.
That’s very interesting, to me it shows that monster jam (or whoever operates their channel) was being completely fair and not ignoring non-monster jam vehicles
On any given weekend there are a multitude of activities that you can get involved in near me. We have a nearby stadium that regularly hosts these trucks. I used to take my son and his friends 10+ years ago. Little boys seem to love seeing these trucks in person. We have some 1/10 scale RC cars that we used to race. My son is so much better than me that I had to stop racing him. He also now works on my car instead of me working on his. I guess that's only natural tho.
If you want to watch a good video about what goes into a Monster Truck you should react to "Grave Digger: Inside the Legendary Monster Truck" by Donut Media. Grave Digger by the way is easily the most iconic and famous Monster Truck in the history of the series.
@@akarbit3r111 That's very true. I forgot about Bigfoot. I was the opposite and knew about Grave Digger before any of the others. I may also be biased a little because Grave Digger's home is North Carolina like me so. lol Even so I would rank those the top two with Maximum Destruction coming in third.
Dragon used to have an old Corvette body, like it's hardly seen (hardly run) predecessor Dragon's Breath. Then they made it look like the new Monster Mutt's designs. I prefer the real truck bodies myself, but the 3D custom ones are ok. Also Jurassic Attack came back this year after over a decade being retired! Don't like the robotic design, prefer the old blue or the old old brown one, but still nice it see it back.
Well if you do get the chance to go to a Monster event, you have to have a bunch of friends with you. If you go alone, you're going to be talking about it with your friends, a lot, and they're going to think your mind is being chemically altered and might even start avoiding you. lol. Thanks for checkin out the crazy stuff people do over here. Ed D "Guest1666"
@@kabirconsiders Gotta warn ya. They're going to wonder what your thinking to want to go see noisy trucks kickin up dirt and asking them to go as well, but I assure you on the way back home you are going to be a freakin hero.
What comes to designs of monster trucks I'm kind of old school and I like manufact the bodies that actually show the manufacturer but don't get me wrong I love the unique stuff But there's this thing I'll use both unders a perfect example when it was using the big I think it was Ford 250s or 350 body design that truck look beautiful and maybe it's because it was my favorite monster truck when I was younger still is I'm just not a huge fan of the new body design that and Bigfoot but I personally like the trophy truck designs a little bit more But I have a thing for classics But I will say since they've started incorporating the backflip ramps into their tracks as like an obstacle I've become less interested and that's just I don't think you should have to do a backflip to win a monster truck freestyle event and pretty much everyone does a backflip now Where I know what would happen if you if I was driving one of these trucks I probably would be good at racing and the stud show but when it comes to freestyle I could burn one of these down I could I would absolutely destroy the truck putting on her show But as a fan I used to be when they started incorporating the backflip ramp and that kind of pushed me away because I think you should have to do it off of other obstacles that are there like they did like the first one happened in 2009 with the guy never intended to do it backflip it just kind of happened
The problem is Bigfoot hasn't ran Monster Jam since the 90s. Chandler stood his ground when MJ insisted that he would have to allow them the rights to the bigfoot name.
@@codydrummer if monster jam became to a compromise with Chandler then we could actually have the monster truck it's set records for ridiculous things And we could have two of the most legendary monster trucks fighting each week And I would probably bring some more interest for me but I haven't really been interested in monster truck since 2012 ish Did you start changing the sport so dramatically and lost interest in it
Terrible list. It's obvious whoever made the list already had his/h e r favorites. You were absolutely right about which truck should have gotten #1 and it didn't even make the top 5.🤔
Hey bro, here is another stand up comedian you should check out. React to Ronny Chieng- The Most Excruciating Form of Torture. He's really funny. He got his big break being a correspondent on the Daily Show with Trevor Noah.
