I would like you to listen to her very first hit song "Jesus Take The Wheel" and maybe take it from there. I totally agree with you, Carrie can be unreal and so powerful but she also has a softer side to some of her music. "Jesus Take The Wheel" shows both her soft side and her powerful side.
Carrie had a wonderful upbringing and adores her Dad. Most of her dramatic songs are fiction. She is happily married to retired Pro Hockey player, Mike Fisher, and they have two sons, 6 and 2 yrs. old. They are devout Christians. Her song, Something In The Water, is especially dear to her. Her Gospel album, My Savior, and her Christmas album, My Gift, are a testament to her faith. She is blessed with God given vocals. Thank God we are blessed to hear her and see her!❤️🙏
Something in the Water is my favorite song from her. If it wasn’t for that song I would have most likely not be here. That song has pulled me out of the darkest places of my mind. Anytime I get to the dark place in my mind again I listen to that song and it pulls me out of that.
Jesus take the wheel.. Two black Cadillacs.. momas song.. temporary home.. just a dream. She is a power house with her voice and the heart she puts in every song. If you go on RU-vid and look up Every Carrie underwood American idol performances.. you will see the country girl at 17 who turned super star over night.
She does that powerhouse voice even while pregnant!! You should try her songs, Two Black Cadillacs, Church Bells, Drinking Alone, Cowboy Casanova, Good Girl, Undo It, Dirty Laundry..etc..She has quite the catalog of great music!!
React to her best music video ever "Two Black Cadillacs" it's epic, like mini horror movie! And "Last Name" for a more fun side, it shows you what happened before "Before he Cheats".. 😂
Her power is on full display with, "How Great Thou Art," either with Vince Gill or at the Ryman Auditorium. A softer, beautiful song is, "Temporary Home." You may need tissues for that one. It's great that you're discovering some of her music that has subject matter that doesn't make her look a little crazy (which can happen if you line up some specific songs and that's your introduction to her.) 😜 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Yf6C0L_7-CA.html
Absolutely her most powerful performance was her live duet with Vince Gill of “How Great Thou Art”. The note she holds at the end is genuinely astonishing. I prefer that live performance to her recorded version.
She does a duet with vince gill and sings how great thou art its fantastic.I remember Carrie when she was a 17 year old teen trying out on American idol.I knew she would win and be successful.
She also does the same song alone in what looks like a church. I loved the Vince Gill one too, but I've loved him since he came out with Pocket Full of God. But if you get a chance listen to the one she does alone. I think it's more powerful.
Carrie is a little powerhouse- love her! You should try “Church Bells”, “Last Name”, “Cowboy Casanova” and “Jesus Take The Wheel” by her. Just fyi- her husband plays for the Nashville Predators (our local hockey team).
This has nothing to do with her childhood. She had a wonderful upbringing. The line where she says.....was it taking shelter or sweet revenge? She let him intentionally die passed out on the couch, which I would have done also. Great song by Carrie Underwood!!
Please please react to Something in the Water. Powerful lyrics, message, vocals AND an absolutely stunning video. Trust me!!!!!! I get goosebumps everywhere every time!!
Check Carrie’s MySavior performance from ACM Awards 2021! Incredibly beautiful! Her Christmas album is amazing. Her duet with her 5yr. old son, Isaiah, Little Drummer Boy is delightful. O Holy Night on Jimmy Fallon show; incomparable!
This was an incredible performance by Carrie!! Another powerful song I think you’d find interesting is Choctaw county affair! Is performed live!! It doesn’t matter what song Carrie singing she does a beautiful job whether it’s country songs heartbreak songs a religious songs!!
She does have some power to her, but I am still waiting for you to check out her and Vince Gill doing How Great Thou Art! I think you will say it is one of the most powerful performances, in every sense of the word, you will ever see! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-MHusNDxUHNA.html (edited to add better version)
I am a die hard fan of Carrie Underwood. I have been a fan since she auditioned for American idol. I voted for her each week. I have every album on CD and I have almost all of her albums on vinyl. I have every magazine that she has been in or mentioned in.
Just a song...her dad is an incredible man. She gets her shyness from him. She is my favorite female singer/song writer. I have had her two latest albums on repeat. My Gift and My Savior. You don't have to be religious to enjoy the pure beauty of her voice.
I loved watching your reaction to this song! I have heard this song many times & I don't react as strongly as I used to. However, seeing someone else hear it for the 1st time is moving. You're very right about Vince, he doesn't care about being the center of attention. I saw him in concert about a year ago & he had some great guests with whom he was perfectly happy to let them take the lead while sang harmony or played guitar. He simply loves performing. His show was 3 hours long. He does backup vocals for her on "Look at Me".
I love to watch your reactions, and your beautiful blue eyes. I have a request from Carrie Underwood called Cry Pretty. I believe this song was written by her and others after she experienced several miscarriages. Awesome song!!!! Please react when you get a chance. Thanks
I wish the videos didn't overlap the room in the background and you. It's difficult/near impossible to see the video for people that have vision issues. I couldn't make out most of this video. Always want to watch the video along with you and everyone else!!
if u love this - i will take u to church! - love ya - i love all carrie - but THIS one - get ur kleenex ready ! - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-dnvg0OtupuI.html - enjoy !
Please check out “Independence Day” by Martina McBride. There are a lot of similarities in the sense of that controlled vocal power between her and Carrie.
Hi I just found your channel and I love it. I am a big country fan so I am not sure how I have missed up until now. I am not even sure if you even see these comments or not, but I wanted to just let you know how happy I was tonight sitting here in Arizona listening to great music with you. Does that sound wierd? Maybe but oh well.
I GOT BLOWN AWAY REALLY BLOWN AWAY THIS IS ON MY TOP TEN OF CARRIE NOW,NR ONE IS HOVE GREAT THOW ART SPELLING WRONG I NOW BUT I AM FROM NORWAY AND I LOVE YOUR REACTION THANKS 👌👌💞💞💕💕👌👌
Another 2 country music artists that have an extensive collection are "Jamey Johnson - In Color (Official Video)" and "Jamey Johnson - Can't Cash My Checks" and another female legend in Country Music that I think you might enjoy is "Emmylou Harris - Making Believe (1977)" and "Emmylou Harris - (You Never Can Tell) C'est la Vie (Live) Top Pop" these two have that [Ole' Country sound] that I grew up loving. I hope you add them to your list and looking forward to hearing what you think. Take Care and Have a good day~
Carrie's voice is so powerful and I enjoy her videos, but much more with you! Your reactions have meant very much to me over the last few months. I enjoy them and look forward to your new ones. I have just spent the day with you...lol...and it has been a musical wonderment. Thank you so very much for your reactions; they always touch my heart just like the music does. If you like an unusual voice with deep emotion, listen to James Blunt and the song is called "Monsters". Thank you again from my soul., Barbara
