Surabaya is the capital of the province of East Java and is the second largest city in Indonesia. Surabaya is also called the city of heroes because of the many history of fighting in this city. In Surabaya, people prefer to go out for a walk at night rather than during the day because the weather in this city is quite hot. In Surabaya there are several tours that can be visited at night such as Tunjungan street, Kya Kya Kembang Jepun night market, Brawijaya night market, or going around by boat on the Kalimas river. August is the month of independence and August 17th is Indonesia's independence day therefore you will see red and white flags along the way, and many Indonesian people have started to do competitions to celebrate Indonesia's independence day as you saw earlier. If you are in Surabaya, you must try culinary delights such as Rawon, Tahu Campur, Lontong Balap, Rujak Cingur, Lontong Kupang and many more but my recommendation is Rawon, because it has been crowned as the most delicious soup in the world. Thank you for visiting Surabaya, even though it is not a popular tourist spot, it is from this city that we can get to know about the history of Indonesia ✌️
East java is so underrated, it has unique volcanoes like bromo, and ijen. Amazing surf spots like G-land and red island, beautiful beaches like sempu, and many others in south malang, pacitan and banyuwangi but so is mentawais, banyak islands, sumba, anambas even raja ampat and triton bay and many others in indo. But that's good things tho 😊. Safe travels

Yes Surabaya is hot but clean compared to most big cities in this country. If there's a next time visit you shouldn't missed the: 1. cigaretes museum House of Sampoerna, they provide free city tours with nice comfortable aircon buses 2. the Tugu Pahlawan (hero monument) museum 3. the arab quarter Ampel 4. the little chinese town Kyakya 5. the sea water front maduranese community in Kenjeran 6. the mangrove park, Wonoayu, and last but not least.. 7. the Suramadu bridge, which connects Surabaya and Madura island. Those places are not so internationaly touristic place but definitaly the most authentic scene we have in Surabaya 8. Madura island with its clean beaches is unfortunately under rated.. but 9. Most food both in Surabaya and Madura are delicious with fair prices Enjoy 🎉
If only I can meet you when you are in Surabaya. I was born in Surabaya and now my residential address is on Kecamatan Pakal still in Surabaya. See you soon in Surabaya again. 🇮🇩👍😀😊
The population of Surabaya is AT LEAST 8 million. Indonesian statistics are FAR from accurate. Most people who live in Surabaya come originally from outside Surabaya and therefore are not counted in Surabaya's statistics. One other point is that I didn't even know that the Submarine had been painted green. I am sure it had been white/grey for most of the years it's been placed in that spot. I have been past recently but I don't pay that much attention. Great to see foreigners enjoying Surabaya. The main reason for no street dogs is that Surabaya is quite Islamic. Muslims in general don't like to be licked by dogs because the story goes that Mohammed didn't like to be lucked and to be locked makes a person unclean.
SURABAYA IS A HISTORYCAL CITY IN INDONESIA , BECAUSE INDONESIAN ARMY HAD ONCE HEILD A BIG BATTLES AGAINST ALICE FORCE IN 1945 FOR THE SAKE OF INDONESIAN INDEPENDANCE FROM THE DUTCH COLONIZER .. AND THAT IS WHY SURABAYA IS WELL KNOWN IN HISTORY
12:21 Its a common thing in every city in Indonesia which has Muslim as majority cause in muslim believe we are not allowed to pet dog, the cat more preferable ❤
there are still many who keep dogs...haram is only limited to holding their noses, even in Islam, dogs are not a problem, only those who are very fanatical and radical do not keep them
Muslims can own dog for home security, hunting and as shepherd animal. But dog shouldn't be allowed to enter home, so for people in cities, it is convenient not to own one.
