We stayed in Vico Equense for three weeks because it was just a few minutes to Sorrento by train but so much quieter and less tourist based. The views from the clifftops is amazing and you can see Vesuvius easily on a clear day. It's a great base for touring the area with nice restaurants, coffee shops, and grocery stores. We also took a super fun cooking class from Penisola Experience. I really enjoyed getting a coffee in the morning in the central square and just watching the locals. I hope you enjoy this cardio distraction and treadmill walking scenery from southern Italy.

My Story: I'm a filmmaker by trade. In 2016, we sold our house to go traveling for the year in Europe. Since I couldn't work there, I decided to start another RU-vid Channel. I love walking as a way to explore and this was an easy thing to share. It got popular and I've continued. My goal is to share these treadmill travel videos to help your work out go by faster with virtual walks.

Henry, when you were walking on Corso Filangieri, you passed a very familiar door. It's the entrance to my former babysitter's apartment. She and her husband reside there. it pulled at my heart strings! I'm so glad you and your wife and family enjoyed it so much. Yes, Vico Equense is a hidden and peaceful pearl. Loved it there♥️🙏🏼

I think you’ll enjoy it. Much quieter than Sorrento. The dolphin plaza has some lovely cafes as well. Transport is very easy as well. Hope you have a great trip. -H

Thanks, it's my mothers home town. I used to spent the summer vacation there, a long long time ago. Il 23 maggio 2013 nel suo concerto a Piazza del Plebiscito Bruce Springsteen aveva esclamato: “Sono a casa“, mostrando al pubblico presente in piazza un’immagine in bianco e nero di un bar di Vico Equense (Gran Caffè Zerilli), fondato dal suo trisavolo e per anni gestito dalla sua famiglia, prima che il nonno Antonio Zerilli emigrasse negli Usa. “La mia famiglia è del Sud Italia - aveva dicharato - sono uno di voi“. Pochi sanno che entrambi i nonni materni di Bruce erano italiani, infatti suo nonno materno, Antonio, era nato a Vico Equense (Napoli). Andrea Zerilli, trisavolo di Bruce, nel 1858 conduceva un Caffè in Piazza Fontana (Largo Fontana) in Vico Equense, noto poi negli anni a seguire come “Bar del Sole”. Nel 1883, era tesoriere presso l’Istituto femminile di SS. Trinità e Paradiso, ufficio che sarà ereditato poi da suo figlio Raffaele.
