The majestic Batad Rice Terraces! Words can't describe how beautiful this place truly is! We are hoping we succeed in showcasing at least half of its beauty in this video, but we can assure you, once you will visit, you will be swept away! Imagine an amphitheatre of rice terraces on the mountain slopes! Our jaws dropped so many times!
This video is part 2 of our 2 day trekking "loop" from Banaue to Batad through the jungle and rice terraces in the remote villages of Pula and Cambulo. We highly recommend taking this trip and if you can, please make it 3 days so you can actually have 1 day to slowly explore these villages and chat to the locals, they have wonderful stories to tell!

Absolutely breathtaking! Can’t wait to visit Batad this weekend. Btw the waterfalls is called Tappiya Falls not Tumalog. Hope you enjoyed your stay in our country. 🇵🇭

Thanks so much for watching. If we would have to choose just 1 place to go back to in the Philippines, it would be Banaue/Batad 😍 It’s a feeling of it’s own♥️ Salamat po for the correction of the waterfalls🙏 True, Tumalog is in Cebu island ☺️

Yes exactly what we think as well, it is beautiful in photos and videos, but the feeling of being there to witness its real beauty is unique ♥️ we are so grateful that we had the chance to go there 🥺

Glad to hear you love them. Bias aside, our rice terraces are more beautiful and grand than Bali’s Tegalalang and Jatiluwi. Btw, all in all we have 48 clusters of rice terraces spread out within the mountain province, on the way to Sagada you’ll se a beautiful one next to a river.

Although the Philippines is famous for the beaches, sea and white sand, for us this was the most memorable place 😍

Haha well it depends on your fitness level, not necessarily your weight:) We usually hike a lot back home in Romania so it wasn’t difficult for us, the hard part for us is the humidity as we are not used to it. If you go just make sure you wear proper shoes- the terraces are quite slippery 😁

I'm overweight and ride my bicycle 3x a week for exercise. I thought that is enough to be prepared trekking the terraces BUT it was not for me. I should have practiced/trained climbing staircases with high risers and balancing on narrow pathways.

Thank you for the great video quality of the rice terraces! I just got back from Batad and had a hard time balancing in-between the terraces and failed to climb the viewpoint :( Your videos made me feel I almost clinb it :)

Yes the beauty of the place won’t change if a video is late upload 😄 This time of the year the rice is not grown, the terraces will be mostly muddy/ water, but I believe still beautiful 😍

We did the tour with our host at Bogah Homestay. We are so grateful we had the chance to go there. The bus ride is very long, took us about 10 hours but it was so worth it 😍
