Zoe always teaches us a very important lesson which is, make mistakes to grow and improve. With your dedication, braveness, and consistency you're an inspiration for each one of us. Thank you dear 💗😊
Thanks for making this video with me! I really like the vibe of our conversation. Your encouragement as a native Arabic speaker and teacher is significant. Many people are afraid to speak because they are afraid of making mistakes! But making mistakes is part of learning the language, which can make us progress faster. Don't be discouraged if someone makes fun of our accent or can't understand, keep working and always believe that practice makes perfect!
As a native speaker of Arabic i am so proud of you 🥰 and your accent is so good 👍😊 i wish you all the luck💗🖤 كمتحدثة أصلية للغة العربية (جزائرية) انا فخورة كثيرا👍 بالإضافة إلى أن لهجتك جيدة جدا أتمنى لكِ كل التوفيق
This is what I like to see. People actually learning the languages and showing it and not just making "content" in English. Zoe worked so hard good for her!
Arabic fushah is never spoken between people in the street but it is essential for everything other than communication like reading, writing, news, formal communication like in companies, just everything other than communication.. As Levant arabic dialect, we are proudly the most clear dialect in the Arab world, every arab can understand us but it is not vice-versa, we struggle to understand the west dialect (Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria) like we understand about 50% of it , however if you have a friend from there to talk with him in his dialect you will learn so fast, on the other side Egyptian dialect is 95% understandable to Syrians, thanks to Egyptian series which built the great basis of us understanding Egyptian dialect. Egyptian series and movies are used to be showed in the official TV in most of the Arab countries in the past, so it became very usual for us. Lebanese, jordanians, Palestinian dialects are very close to Syrian one, I would say they are the same unless they differ alittle in the sound spoken. Iraq dialect for Syrians is same as Egyptian, means 95% understandable, while the Arabian gulf accents also understandable about 80%. Sorry for all this details but this subject never been too simple!
Hi, I think the levantine and egyptian dialects are the widely understandable due to the media, and not because they are closer to the standard arabic (FuSha). For example, I am moroccan and I an understand all arabic dialects because of TV shows and arabic music that we acceed easily from Morocca as part of the Arab World, but I have friends that struggle with levantine dialects because they grew up in Europe and their only contact with arabic language was their Moroccan family and Moroccan channels and their Standard Arabic classes in Europe.
How about the Yemeni dialect? Which is closer to the standard Arabic more Yemeni or Levantine? I understood they two are quite close but Yemenis pronounce the sound jim/G as GA like Egyptians.
@@BlackSeedOil20 if we wanted to know exactly which dialect is the closest, we should compare the pronunciation of letters, words and the special phrases for each dialect to know how much it is close to standard one, basically yemeni pronunciation is very close to standard however still some letters exceptions that pronounced differently, which makes it harder to understand.
for me I can understand you pretty well and even enjoyed that. your Arabic sounds natural and flows well. I always have big respect for anyone learn Arabic because I know it's hard and painful. love you Zoe.
Dear Zoe ❤! Every time when I have a difficult stage in studying Arabic I whatch Your videos to get inspiration ❤ Your videos always motivate me to continue and not to quit. Thank You sooooooo much ❤ and hello from Latvia 👋
Wow, I've never seen an Asian so interested in middle eastern languages and culture. It's nice to see that anything is possible when there's a desire and passion to do something. Especially such a difficult language, very inspiring for many.
waaouuah I'm vraiment impressed, bravo a3leike ya habibti ente ra'i3a !! now you need to mix le francais avec l'inglize ou l'libanais ou akid btetla3e lebneniye miye bel miye !
Dear Zoe, This video was really great, you are both amazing I'd love to hear you speaking some Egyptian Arabic Your advice regarding not being afraid to make mistakes is so important this is from a poem: وَمَن لَم يَذُق مُرَّ التَعَلُّمِ ساعَةً تَذَرَّعَ ذُلَّ الجَهلِ طولَ حَياتِهِ للامام الشافعى Have a nice day
Wow, such an inspiring video full of good advice! I have been learning Arabic for 1 year and I can understand basic stuff, but I always think how much there still is to learn, and I have doubts if I will ever become fluent in it, but I keep reminding myself that it is possible, and even if it takes 10 years, I will reach my goal ♥ thank you Zoe and Hala!
You will. I'm able to understand most of what they're saying in this video but it took me like 2 years of very inconsistent and lazy learning and like 3 months of strict daily learning to get this far but luckily I have a cousin who was raised in kuwait and a native Arabic speaker so I got the luxury to always annoy him asking for what this and that means

Native arabic speaker here, thinking that this was recorded when you have been studying arabic for only 3 years is very very impressive because I totally acknowledge how hard arabic is and it gets even herder when you have to learn the dialect as well. I just started my Chinese learning journey a month ago and I will surely come back to this video whenever I am feeling down or discouraged because of how hard Chinese can be to remind myself that hard doesn't mean impossible. My love from Lebanon.
Hi Zoe, As a fluent English/Arabic speaker, I thoroughly enjoyed this video. Your tips at the end and the sense of belonging and connection to Syria was something I relate to as I learned Turkish and German (not fluent but can manage a conversation well). I feel the same but was never able to express my connection this way so true!! Best wishes. 🙏
Miss Zoe, you have revitalized my desire to continue with my Arabic studies and do them without any fear of making mistakes, thank you for that. Your message for our community is inspiring and you make us proud of being part of your channel. My best wishes for you.
I love this video so much!!! Im Turkish and unfortunately there is a big racism against Syrians currently in Turkey, mostly because of the goverments decisions that didnt do any good for neither turkish people nor the refugees. It made me so happy to see people actually care about refugees AND arabic culture. Also Im learning arabic as well, so this helped a lot♡
Hi Zoe, I am an Arabic Native Speaker. I am a polyglot and speak six languages, also I will start learning several languages or maybe all of them, and Chinese is one of them. I am an Arabic and language teacher for foreign languages who start from level A1 to C1. I appreciate your progress in Arabic and I am so proud of you. Keep hard working.
I just discovered your channel Zoe, and I can't stop watching your videos.. thanx for your all efforts. You motivate me to improve my Arabic language💐💐
Ma'Sha'Allah this is amazing. Please can you make more videos like this, but kindly speak slightly slower so that I can keep up and 'absorb' what you're saying. Thank you.
What a beautiful conversation mashallah you are so good in Arabic keep it up like that and you will be a master in Arabic language inshallah.. Salaam from a Somali sister ❤️
@@pianistmanoj5780 well ye but in Arabic, Allah just means god so if you say Allah that doesn't mean your muslim like there are arabs who are non-muslims and still use mashallah and inshallah so ye.
I'm Somali too and i'm tryna learn Arabic bcs a lot of Somali people speak Arabic and my family keep pushing me to learn as well. I also learn Arabic in school although it isn't the best, i still pick up a couple of words here and there. After Arabic, i wanna learn turkish then french. Currently i speak English bcs i was born in the UK and Somali bcs its my family speak it and i live in Somaliland now.
My wife and I will be learning Arabic after I'm B2 in Spanish (maybe 1 more year). I'm already looking forward to it! I know it will be a big challenge, but I've always wanted to learn it!
im so glad to have found your video it can helps motivate my will to learn the syrian language. Im a filipino married to a syrian and currently residing in syria am having a hard time communicating since mostly of them didnt speak english..
I’ve developed a lot of interest in Arabic from a linguistics standpoint because of the strong influence across languages (especially in word origins) and I’m just falling more and more in love with it the more I hear it. I want to find more connections to Arab speaking countries to really solidify a motivation to learn it since I know there are tricky elements
This is so gorgeous hearing a non native speaker like yourself- truly languages unite the divide between races. In Arabic, my father use to say -a language is equivalent to the value of a man. As children we did not understand how rich it is to speak another language. Thank you
Hi Zoe, you are a beautiful example for me. I have been learning levantine Arabic for 2 years but I have still a problem to understand. I can say a lot but the listening is still hard. Thanks in advance
Wow girl!! I adore you too much 👍🏻👌 I'm an Iranian girl who love to learn different languages...🌍 I started to learn a bit of Arabic language in Syrian accent a couple of years ago but not seriously just for fun ... then I tried to have fun by learning Arabic in other accents such as Iraqi (my favourite) and Maghrebi .. I understood more than half of your conversation in this video without looking at subtitle!! even though I wasn't serious enough to leaening this language at all (unfortunately) ! i undrestood 60% of this video just beacause i did try to have a conversation with Arabic people and listening to Arabic songs once a while in last couple of years ... At the end my advice for who wants to seriously learn Arabic is to not jump from one accent to the other until learning one for good .. on the other hand you will get confused for good 😀😀 and Syrain accent is super sweet and easier than other accents at the same time ( very good choice to start Arabic with)💗
You're right. I think it's better to stick with one dialect, especially at the beginning. You can learn other dialects later when you're advanced. It would be a lot easier too.
I had Syrians.. Lebanese in my Academy whose pronunciation of English with a heavy accent is admirable... that l envy.. for it demands attention... smile..l love my name Sheikh with the H well pronounced... making me feel like an Arab Sheikh... smile... Sheikh Al Hakim to the teachers.❤❤❤❤❤❤
@Bilgi Sayar أخي، يمكنك مشاهدة قائمة التشغيل هذه ru-vid.com/group/PLwXTrQ2dK9OrnJ6aK17VvcHlX6yR8AKxd إنه مسلسل كرتوني (رسوم متحركة) مدبلج للغة العربية الفصحى، أرجو بأن تستفيد منه❤️ أخبرني إن كنت تريد أي مساعدة أخرى تسرني مساعدتك❤️
Thank you so much for this you always give me power and passion to progressive. I am from Algeria and i agree with that in Algeria and morroco is difficult your video always give me the power to continue learning langauges. 💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖😘😘😘😘😘
in my opinion always start with fusha then you can choose the dialect you want to learn, maybe you can,'t communicate with fusha with people but it's useful if you want to read anything you want in a store for exemple, or books...
It's really interesting to see the tone changes between Arabic and English when you speak as Arabic provides higher tone compared to the latter. Of course language is the mirror of a culture and that what makes it beautiful. سبحان الله انت ممتاز جدا
