Thank you for the useful advice. I am intending to visit your beautiful city asap, once this pandemic is under control. Visited Turkey in 1995 for two weeks, travelling around western Turkey. Fantastic history, culture, food and people. I have travelled a lot, but the countries I need to revisit are Turkey, Egypt and South Africa. Best wishes from the U.K. & stay safe.
Thank you so much for all the detailed info. Been binge watching all your videos. Do you happen to know if you need a separate Istanbul kart for kids now with all this COVID situation. I have a 4 and 8 year and was reading that they need their own HES code and Istanbul kart.
Thanks for watching. I'm not sure to be honest. Maybe the 8 year old will but the 4 year old you may be able to carry them through when you use your kart
hey man, saw all your vids. Can you tell me what is important to see besides the main atractions around Sultanahmet, Galata Tower and the main bazaars(also seen the video with food places)? thank you!
What If you want to withdraw US dollar and you just have your Visa card ? The currency exchange stores don't accept Visa card, only cash (Turkish Lira) and ATMS are all Lira
Hi, we are planning to visit Turkey (Cappadoccia and then Istanbul) this month from Singapore. Are you able to do a video on about Cappadocia? Does Istanbul still uses HES code now? Does wearing masks still applies indoors or outdoors? Any recomended approved Covid19 test centers for ART/PCR to avoid paying high price?
I can't make a video about Cappadocia sorry. You don't need HES code anymore. You don't need to wear masks outdoor, only some small spaces will require it. I don't think you even need covid test anymore, please check the travel rules
Hi Roger Jr Cabiles, mine is also 6 digits and I am going in 2 weeks. If you have been there already, do you mind telling me if they for real, only accept 4 digits PIN? I read somewhere there are a few ATM machines that accept 6 digits, but the guy couldn't remember which are they. Thanks so much!!
Hi...I am going to Turkey in 2 weeks. Thinking it's best for me to withdraw money from the ATM. I read somewhere that atm in Turkey only accept 4 digit PIN while in my country, we have 6 digits. Does it mean I cannot withdraw money from the ATM in Turkey? Do you mind to inform me how much Lira you can withdraw in one go? There should be a maximum to how much we can withdraw?
@Istanbul Hacks hi, thanks for replying me. I read that the ATM itself in turkey has daily max limit that you can withdraw. I went into Ziraat website to check and saw that they have daily limit of 1,500 Lira. Then it's going to be very inconvenient to withdraw several times when I am getting charged a fee from my bank per withdrawal in overseas. My bank actually allows me to withdraw around 12,000 Lira in a day, but that depends if the ATM machines in Turket will allow me to withdraw that much money in one go.
