When you accept to cancel the Uber ride and pay in cash, you are losing the rider insurance and coverage in case of any incident or accident. You lose the right to complain to Uber as well. I'd never accept to cancel an App ride. It's a bad recommendation. The rest of the video was awesome, anyways!
Hi, how do you recommend getting back to the Sabiha Gökçen airport from yenikapı for an early morning (8am) flight please. Is the marmaray-m4 route still an option at this time?
You mention you need a card for the metro? Can't you just pay for a single trip ? You implied we would need an Istanbul card? Are you 100% sure people can't just pay for a single trip via cash or card? Thanks.
@@IstanbulHacks Thanks for the reply. I just need two metro trips for in and out to SAW. Cheers for confirming. I did not want to go up to one of them machines without a clue at rush-hour.
Though I have been to Istanbul twice and figured out the transportation. Your video is the best I have seen on how to use the transit system. I look forward to seeing more of your vlogs. Best of Luck to you
Had a street hustler act like he was helping fill my Istanbulkart and he did not. He acted like the machine was not working so we switched machines. Later I saw I had two charges to my bank account and my Istanbulkart had not been charged. I laugh about it. He probably had an accomplice stepping up after and loading their card. I learned my lesson. Update: Reported to my bank and the Belbim Istanbulkart company refund my money including the Foreign Exchange Rate Adjustment. 🎉
Avoiding over friendly people is the best advice. For restaurants, shops, bars etc. Something to also remember is the economy is terrible right now and I feel how stressed people are. After 20 years of visiting Istanbul it’s still one of my favorite cities to visit.
Thanks from Vietnam for your helpful video, I will visit alone to Istanbul next month and my flight will arrive at 22:00 and i plan to used metro to Hagia Sophia. Is Istanbul safe for a girl at midnight??? Tks for taking your time to see my question❤❤❤
I've already been to Istanbul and, yes the public transportation is great. Your explanation is absolutely amazing and the same for the other your contents 👍
I’ve been using Turk telecom and it’s great. Don’t buy it from the airport as it’s more expensive. Check my video about SIM cards, the prices are outdated but the info is the same
I would agree not staying in sultahahmet as very expensive. However would disagree to promote tourist staying in Asia side as we went there, public transport and English language is a problem.
Merhaba Kardish, the map overlay guide schematics is excellent, and you have explained well, BUT to really “see” with a genuine historical perspective, and to literally walk through history, whilst stepping back in time, you cannot do justice in even three days. Istanbul, is in my view is the single most diverse city on this planet in terms of layers of history, and weaves of true multi-cultures. Yes the areas you have pointed out to stay on the Asian side are definitely nicer, but they are just like any good North American suburb, I, personally, am not interested in that, I have enough if it already. I have “properly seen” all the major cities of Europe in the proper spirit to really see, and none of them compare to Istanbul. Further, food in SultanAhmet is not a huge issue either, you can find pretty good food at decent prices in the SultanAhmet. Yes, on the Asian side it is even more economical, and almost every place has excellent food, but food quality in SultanAhmet is pretty decent; definitely you cannot find this quality of food anywhere in Europe. Of course Asian side food just gets even better. Warm regards.
Ciao, sarò a Istanbul il 30 settembre, vorrei sapere, se possibile, dall'aeroporto di Sabiha Gokçen devo arrivare a Dizdariye Çesmesi cosa mi consigli?
