Here is the best place to exchange money in Istanbul. If you are here for a week or 2, changing at Kuveyt Turk can gain you a few free meals. :) Of course there may be better exchange rates in other places but these are great and the branches are everywhere

I've heard that some Kuveyt Turk branches don't allow you to change money any more, If you want you can still withdraw from their atm with 0 fees or visit a currency exchange place (The best rates are probably in the grand bazaar)

A life saver is the Starling and Monzo cards.Extremely useful.Very good for using abroad.A great tip.

Do you think Master card (credit card) from Germany or N26 card can be used to buy bus/Train tickets in Istanbul ?? For example- the daily city ticket or a 7 day transport ticket? Or do I have to use only Turkish Lira? Thanks again.

The ticket machines don't accept card, but maybe you will be able to buy it from a desk at the airport. If you want to withdraw cash i would suggest Kuveyt Turk atm or TEB bank. If when you are trying to withdraw money it says 'do you want the process in Euro' select 'No' and it doesn't charge you any fee. Well thats what happens with my British card :)

I have a revolut card that lets me transfer British pounds into TL, where is the best place to use ATM to minimise any withdrawal charges/fees in Istanbul?

Kuveyt Turk bank defo, you probably don't even need to transfer gbp to tl before you withdraw. Im not sure about the rates but i guess it will be similar to Starling, and if you're from the UK i would suggest getting starling, they deliver the card within 2 days to your house

Hi thanks for the video I've seen in another video that inside the grand bazaar a place called "cavus" has good rates ? Would u rather the kuveyt bank or grand bazaar? Another question- are all the exchange shops everywhere in instanbul legitimate?

Grand bazaar has good rates also, its fine to change there :)
