Gosh I miss Becky and these Silhouette tutorials!! There seems to be a lot of Cricut tutorials but not so many for Silhouette. Thank goodness these are still available!
You're the absolute BEST teacher for Silhouette out there! I've been wanting to learn how to do this forever, but have yet to find a video that explains it until now. Thank you for such an excellent tutorial and taking the time to explain things! You are Amazing! 💕
Ok I'm gonna say HELL YEA. I never knew you could that. I am so glad I saw this video because it just made my job much easer. I bought all the machines and everything else for my wife but I am the one having to do it for her. 10,000 GOLD STARS for this video. THANKS
This is AMAZING and exactly what I needed to know for my first layered vinyl Silhouette project (4 colors!) I think I'll be using this often - Thank you!
Thank you very much! Just started with my cameo 4 and wanted to move on from single to multicolor designs. Your explanation was clear and considering without a bunch of extra talk. Thanks again!
I won my silhouette and have a big learning curve. I love my Cricut, they’ve done all the work already and it tells you what color it will cut first and so on.
Thank you so much for your videos, since watching i've purchased a cameo 4 last week and currently watching your videos, they are so clear and easy to follow...
My question using this feature is when you see an image and do a trace and cut it just gives you the red lines it doesn't show the color fill from the image. It just traces it and puts it in another layer/image and you have to manually have it fill in because it is transparent otherwise and it is a solid color.
I see someone had the same question as I do.. I've created the registration boxes, once I cut, I realize you line them up, but do you have a video on how to to line up these multi-layer cut designs with registration marks once they are cut for heat transfer?
I am so pleased I found you your videos are so concise and easy to understand, I am learning so much from you. Would it be possible to do a tutorial on the different blades please?
Good question Jocelan! You still want to put the cardstock wherever the design is going to be. I recommend adjusting your Material Size (on the Page Setup Panel) to match your cardstock size to avoid cutting mistakes. Hope this helps! ---Becky
Hi thanks for this tutorial which got me out of a really big hole. One quick question, can the workflow you create with the pauses etc. be saved as a template for if you have to repeat the design or are these settings saved when the file is saved to the cloud or one's hard drive. Thanks for the help. Steve
Hello, this is new to me, most definitely out of the box. I am a little confused as to print with color. Am I only using the blade to cut, I did my design...filled the color, now just need to print. very simple 2 colors not layered. How do I do that? Do I need to buy extra tools?
Hi there! If you are printing this you can do so right through your printer, or if you are using this as a cut file you would want to use two different types of vinyl which you would send through your silhouette to cut for you. - Dawn 🙂
I'm a beginner, going off into another topic is so confusing. Once all cut, how do I align all the pieces to get them in the right place to press onto a shirt.
have you figured things out? if not, that will be through the use of the registration boxes - you'd layer the registration boxed atop of one another, that way things line up perfectly.
Thanks for the video. Very helpful. I am having a problem cutting HTV on my Cameo 3. Because it is cut on the backside it wants to catch and not go under the guides while going back and forth during cutting. The vinyl has too much curl which causes it to jam. I tried to reverse curl the vinyl before feeding but that didn't seem to help. Any advise would be appreciated.
Hey Vernon! When I have really curly vinyl, I have to either tape it down to my cutting mat (masking tape) or reverse-roll and let it stay like that for a while (a few hours). Otherwise you have to watch it super close and force it to feed out the other side, which is dangerous and risky LOL. Hope this helps! ---Becky
Hey Margaret, I'm not sure what the question is. Do you mean you want to use a pattern vinyl? Or you want to alter the design to make your own buffalo plaid pattern? Let me know, I'm happy to help! ---Becky
Hey Rachel! Designer Edition would be a purchase you made and you would have entered a key code to unlock the additional features. The quickest way is to look at the very top line of your window, if you have an upgraded edition it'll say there. Hope this helps! ---Becky
im new to silhouette studio and cant figre out how to change a cut file to print and cut. can you tell me how ? thanks in advance for anything you can do for me.
Hi there! For Print and Cut it would need to be a PNG file. Do you have a PNG version of the file you would like to use? Which version of Silhouette Studio are you using? - Dawn
@@DesignBundles business edition . i dont but i can find one im just testing stuff on silhouette studio right now. ive been doing cricut and design space for 5 years but this is so much different
Hi, I just upgraded to the designer edition so I can do the print and cut. But for some reason when I click over to send and choose the fill button my colors are not showing up. Any idea why?
Hi there! If it's a PNG or JPEG, that wouldn't be cut, it would be printed as a Print and cut project instead. Silhouette Studio can only cut SVG and DXF - Dawn
