Amazing title setup. Ac infinity has really nice stuff and there new mist bottle is amazing. Rechargeable no more pumping so nice

Absolutely amazing! I love it so much. Tons of output. They had price staggeringly high at first ($79) but maybe was error since they are $29.99 now which is just absolutely perfect price point for how well it works.

The sunflowers are the bigger ones. I have to soak them for at least 8 hours before I plant.

What market (or how) research did you do to find out if micro greens were needed in your area?

My local grocery store did not sell microgreens, so I approached them. We only had microgreens at our farmers market, but nowhere that you could easily buy year round. When I approaches them, they said that they had some requests for microgreens.

How do you initiate selling microgreens to your local market? On your self printing label, does that takes a lot of your costs in inks. Thanks

I just took samples down to a local grocery store and talked to the manager. My costs on labels and ink are fairly minimal.

I recently switched from soil to silicone mesh and lost four trays. Should I have my insert tray be a mesh tray also? It has drainage holes, but not like an insert mesh tray. Thanks.

You might get more water exposure with the mesh trays as well. I only use those for my larger seeds (sunflower and pea). Mostly because I had a lot of the other trays before I switched to this method. All I can say is trial and error!! I might actually do a trial run with the mesh trays on my smaller seeds to see how they work.

I sell through my local grocery store...Super1 Foods. I typically do not sell straight to the consumer, unless I get a special request.

I already had my product ready except for the barcodes. I also knew one of the store managers so that helped me out a bit. I went in with samples and had a chat with the produce manager. He said that if I would credit back any expired product, he would accept my greens.

I am hoping to start growing microgreens this year and see if its something i could grow into a sustainable business in my area. If you are comfortable answering this please do, if not thats ok. What do your margins look like? Revenue VS Profit? And what are you able to sell your microgreens for? How many oz do you average a tray?

I but my packaging through webstaurant. I initially bought a biodegradable container, but it was eating up all my profits. You may want to check them out and see if they ha e another option that would be good for you!

@@woodstinyfarm may i ask what you are charging per per ounce or by tray. Ive seen prices all over the place from 5 to 6 per per ounce then im seeing per tray any place from $20 to 30 and even higher i had one person saying they charging $72 for a tray of beets😂
