I honestly feel like Zeke would be a red herring or if there was a murderer maybe it'd be blamed on him, maybe by his family. Zeke is definitely an antagonist, but he's also just an insecure teen with bad parents lol
I adore when you go outside of your comfort zone and make something more dark. To me its more enjoyable than when edgy people do it. I hate horror myself but its always so fun when you mix your cute style with something edgier
my nextdoor neighbour as a horror/thriller would be great I can imagine it being a psychological horror focusing on someone with extreme social anxiety thus seeing people in a disturbing way That'd be fun

Ohh I love this concept! Another thing that would be really cool would be to draw your narrative OCs as if they existed in the universe of a different group of OCs -- like Doris in I Want To Be a Magical Girl or Pariah as an animal hybrid in your story with Raelynn and Owen! And building off your idea for a thriller of MNDN, it could be a battle royale/killing game-type story where the characters are trapped in the apartment and are being forced into a Hunger Games kind of scenario (and because it's the opposite of the original story Zeke could actually be a good person FJDJFKDIFNFKWM) Of you're worried about losing detail when you blur your illustrations to add depth, maybe you could achieve the same effect by having flat colors going from lighter to darker values depending on whether you want to emphasize the background or foreground -- I know Mark Crilley employs this to a great effect! (sorry about this comment being me just projecting my opinions and ideas on here, i just got too excited 😅 your wedding photos are so precious too!)
I concur! I would love to see Pariah as an animal hybrid interacting with Raelynn and friends! I think that transposing characters like Raelynn and Azra would be really cool! I would also like to suggest that the main character of "I Want to Become a Magical Girl" is drawn as a magical girl like Sailor Moon, Pretty Cure, PMMM, etc. I also think it would be cool to see Aidan in other superhero stories! Draw him in action poses! I hope that this works for you!

As for the Q&A, I'd like to ask you: How did you end up wearing glasses? If that's a personal question, no need to include me! As an alternative question, which artists inspired you, and how did you end up being interested into art in the first place? I ask this because I started out as just drawing at age 4 due to boredom, but since I drew every day (again, just to entertain myself), I unemotionally became better and better, and now, I'm at a state where I can draw pretty well for my age, and it's so interesting to see how simple hobbies which are supposed to keep me entertained, actually play a huge role in my life and personality, and my identity and skills! So, I'd like to hear if anyone else has similar experiences, and if not, then even then, I find it super interesting seeing how everyone came across art and how they grew to like it, even if their experiences are different than mine!

Story idea for Thriller My Next Door Neighbor: Things, animals, and eventually people slowly go missing in an apartment never to be seen again. The person whos making people and stuff go missing is in the apartment for certain, everyone in the story knows this. But the person whos doing it is really good at covering their tracks so all the neighbors are paranoid of eachother and the only one who knows who did it is the culprit themself. Doris can hear screams every once in a while, but she can't quite tell if they are down the hallway, or from her Next Door Neighbor. Also congrats on 800k subscribers!

idea: The next door neighbors thriller could be a sort of nightmare episode, that way the scary parts can be contrasted with the usual wholesomeness and still fits with the universe. Creepy cute is just the vibes XD Also, if you're into crime and mystery things, I warmly recommend Agatha Christie's novels, there's something so comforting about vintage stories I feel like, and they're not really scary :D so happy you reached 800k, you deserve every single one and more

This was a really cool idea that can be pretty interesting. I have like 2 stories that happend in the same universe and at the same time but different places. The first one is a slice of life comedy that teaches you about hard work, social life, and life in general. Some bad things may happened and you cant do anything to fix it and thats life, its not perfect but you will also enjoy the bright side of it. The second is a psychological horror, filled with um.. g0re, blood, ect. It sort of teaches about the everyone's flaws, terrible decisions, mental health, owning up to your mistakes from the past, death, and a lot. Both of this stories are from the exact same timeline and universe. I even wondered how will the stories be if the genres of both of them swapped.

I could imagine the thriller story maybe being about Doris moving into a new apartment where the residents just seem off. Nobody seems to notice how off things are except for 3 residents in the hotel. Annabelle, Brayson, and Chase. Together, they have to figure out what is going on the apartment, and why their own families seem to becoming just like the residents. Maybe think something like Sally Face except less death and sadness. I'm not saying your plot isn't good btw. I love it! This was just something I thought of.
