Really love your content. I wish more GMs would realize that store bought accessories could never compare to items made by hand- they have more character, they're one-of-a-kind, and they mean more to everyone involved while giving you a deeper appreciation for the game being played.
then again... while everyone loves my tiles, they would also easily play with pen and erasers acting as logs and stones... the reality is... its all theater of the mind. and if you teach your players one way, then they will play that way. sure they will be wowed by the time you took to do stuff... but you wont see them say a thing when you use those phase spiders to imitate devilish spiders just cause you dont have the mini. or when you use that wizard mini for a player which has nothing like that look the mini has. in the end, yes it has that wow factor... but when you think about it, that wow factor is not for your game, its for your own ego. i like my friends telling me my tiles are great looking... but, let's be honest.... those tiles could be anything and the players would just be happy to see whats hapenning. also, those doors are humongus... same with those stairs... the whole 1 inch thing really breaks immersion. even though it helps in gameplay. i'll definitely be making smaller doors/chests/crates/stairs.
Another Great Craft good Sir! You have inspired so many great Ideas:) I have been making terrain from about 1978 or 1977 I can't remember. Started making Historical D&D and Star wars. You have given myself and my Son lots of Great Ideas. If you have a hard time getting the paper off the foam board Use a wet sponge to damp it first wait 20 seconds or so it should peel right off. Thanks for the video. You Rock.
man. Something about that pan at 5:44 took me back to the first time I ever watched your videos. Your style hasn't changed but it's just been executed better and better and GOD I love that scene at 5:44. It's just.....it's like.....it's what I imagine the definitive D&D aesthetic should be.
This man is a creative genius! Just watching him craft and lay out tiles with scatter terrain inspires me with all kinds of story elements to put in my game, besides trying his tricks with the glue gun and various tile options. Can't wait for EZD6!
This is awesome Scotry 👍. I love those paint bords. I used them for a base before but never thought of using them for dungeon tiles. Great idea and love weathering 👍.
This is so freaking brilliant! You're going to save me so much time doing this. You can make a stamp for terrains like boards and stone , waves, and just 1 of each will do. I freaking love it, you crafty genius.

This is a great inexpensive option, and it's something you can easily add onto very quickly. It's also something that's great for just playing (because you're not worried about the players messing it up). Nice work!

I love the stamp technique. You can make them as simple or complex as you want. I also noticed the bunk beds you added to furnish a tile. Did you make a video on those as well?
Nice technique! I especially like that this is a great way to make larger tiles. Do you recommend doing a protective spray coating or anything when they are finished? Great job as always!
This is every bit as good as those resin tiles that cost a fortune… I mean that sincerely! Plus your players will be treated to something unique as everyone’s tiles will be different.
That's a neat little trick for making tiles pretty quick Also what's this EZ D6 gonna be like? It sounds like it'd be something good for starting out people who've never really done table top RPGs as players and maybe DMs. I only got one friend among the 5-6 of us (one hasn't been in contact with me for awhile so I don't know if he moved) who has ANY experience being a DM so I'm gonna have to learn myself and I've never done it. So far the closest thing I've got is Animal Adventures which uses D&D rules..but all the characters are animals, it does come with miniatures and a map, plus it's supposed to be for those new to TTRPGs both as player and DM so I'm hoping that'll work for me and my group to get us started.
Glad you asked. The system is super simple for new players and newbies can easily sit in with experienced players and have the same amount of fun. I have many tips for the new DM running the game. The book includes tips and tricks for running with terrain and miniatures. The book will be published through Runehammer games and I will post more info as EZD6 gets closer to publication. The book will be out this year.
@@theDMsCraft I'll be keeping an ear out, sounds like it'd be great for my group, at most when we get together one of us has about..5 to 5 and a half hours before he has to leave for work since he currently works the late shift so if I do start running things the campaigns are gonna have to be short sessions or planned out pretty heavy to account for one dude having to bail mid-quest to get to work on time.
I've been binge watching these, but am now a little confused. Are these better or simply an alternative to using the cork boards that you use in the original tilescape? If I'm going to 'start' my collection, which method am I better off following?
