It's so funny how I know this video was put out a year ago, but I still wanted to watch it. My top two favorite TTRPGs are this, and Shadowdark (which are like two flavors of the same genre).
I mean I guess you can do whatever you want as a DM...but I think a cult that worships dragons and is trying to bring about a world where chromatic dragons rule civilization deciding to steal dragon eggs and then blackmail that dragon, despite the fact that the dragon eggs would hatch in like 2 weeks removing all their leverage and getting them killed...is pretty ridiculous.
Hello 👋 I was wondering how you use torches. I noticed a note saying the delver has 5 torches in their kit, so I’m assuming it’s important. When I was a player for a few years the DM never really made torches important bc we all had light cantrips or dark vision. I have now become a DM. I have noticed in my research a lot of DMs and RPGs (i.e. Five Torches Deep and Shadowdark) suggest it being a core mechanic. Do you have rules for torches in ezd6 or suggestions? What is your personal take on it in your games? Thank you for your time. I’m really enjoying all the ezd6 books!
Good question. Since my species cannot see in the dark (they just see further in dim light), everyone needs light sources. I don't worry too much about it mechanically, except that a torch lasts about an hour. It could come up story-wise, though, such as a large gust of wind or lots of water putting a torch out.

ever play with light sources like the shadows cast from a single source of light ? Light the light from a campfire among the trees? or light emitted from building's windows?

I believe in the Player gaining greater ability to make dramatic speedy decisions over many sessions... The Player levels up their Game Play, which naturally makes their characters more adept at riding the wave of the Story unfolding.
Are you planning on creating an official playset for the sci-fi/space opera genre? I really loved your actual play of fixxers - asteroid of doom, where you used the rules from Wasted World plus some hacks to fit the setting, as you say here.

I am looking at making a DND terrain and tile store on ETSY, your videos are helping immensely! I am very new to making the terrain/tiles and your videos are helping immensely! While I understand why some people prefer how the 3d printed terrain looks, I think it misses the beautifully homemade and wholesome feel that your terrain encapsulates!
