Calling Hercule Poirot french made me smile, because he hates when he is mistaken for a french investigator and that happens a lot. He is actually Belgian. David Suchet as Poirot in the ITV series is fantastic! Love your channel btw.
I just stumbled upon this channel today and I'm in awe of everything - the recs, the way you talk about books, the shelves??? anyway - thank you for this 💜
I am so ready for this!! 👻🍂🕯🎃 Your cozy autumn recs are always TOP 👏🏻 TIER 👏🏻👌🏻 Edit: Ahhh I adored The Scandalous Sisterhood of Prickwillow Place! The vibes were immaculate, the characters were so fun and the mystery kept me intrigued the entire time ✨
Thank you Desi! I feel the same about all of your autumn content❤️❤️❤️ and also I think I actually first heard about The Scandalous Sisterhood from your channel!!
Ohhh... I loved If We Were Villans. I just finished The Picture of Dorian Gray and it is the perfect October/Spooky/Moody read. Great choices! I'll watch the video when I have a cozy fall drink to enjoy.
I cannot get over the wicked deep!!!! I live it so much! Sooo under rated! I've been looking for something with the same vibes, so atmospheric, witches, hunted town, curses, murder! I so desperately need something with all of the above 😅😅
Alex, your videos are so cheerful and uplifting! There is a certain charm and charisma about you. Listening to you with a warm cup of tea is like spending a cosy evening with a friend. And your book recommendations are amazing !
I just started reading The Orphan Witch and I love it so far. There is magic, mystery, family, a little death and insanity and just very spooky vibes. Perfect fall read for me so far
📚 Oh!!! Ella would LOVE LOVE LOVE The Seance Tea Party. I'll probably pick it up for her for Christmas. For myself, I'm interested in Wicked Deep, The Strangers, Witch Haven, and Nightbooks. I read House of Hollow but it was only a 3.5 star read for me.
Hello ☺️ Your french accent IS absolutly lovely 😉 thanks for the recommandations. I'm french and I want to improve english so I watch a lot of your middle grade videos. It's always a pleasure to have a new video ! Greeting from France !
I have a recommendation for that 'awkward transition' between Halloween and Christmas. It's an old one I read when I was a kid. It's called Home for the Howlidays by Diane Curtis Regan. Definitely a middle grade or even younger. I haven't read it in well over 16 years. I loved it. Monsters and Christmas, boarding school mentions, board games, etc. Good stuff.
I love your book recommendations.I have read the house in the cerulean sea and the girl who drank the moon and I loved them both. They became my all time favourite books. Thank you ☺️
@@alexandraroselyn you’re welcome! Oh you also asked for book recommendations!! This was my first video of yours and so idk if you’ve read it or not but I’m currently in the middle of Dark and Shallow Lies by Ginny Meyers Sain and it’s about a girl who goes missing in a town full of psychics in Louisiana and it’s so good so far
I just finished The Strangers and loved it although, I read it so quickly I sort of didn't notice it took place in the fall. LOL. The Wicked Deep creeped me out so much I was really glad it wasn't set in a real Oregon coastal town, so I didn't have to forever more drive fast through that town whenever we visit the coast. A spooky recommendation I think you'd love is Small Favors by Erin A. Craig. Starts out moderately creepy and ends with "OMG WHAT JUST HAPPENED!" Three graphic novels I read and loved recently that are all perfect for fall is Fake Blood by Whitney Gardner, The Accursed Vampire by Madeleine McGrane, and Ghosts by Raina Telgemeier. (that last one might make you cry, bring tissues)
. Have you watched over the garden wall? You should. It is very autumnal, very Halloween, following two brothers who are lost in these strange woods, and there is a beast out there in the trees. It is very much your type of thing and you will love it. Also, that woman who wrote the fairyland book with the very long title I can never remember has an adult book out that I read. If you want an adult book featuring Baga Yaga, a war between life and death, soldiers made out of wool, and birds turning into men, maybe consider picking up Deathless.
Pumpkinheads is the perfect graphic novel for fall! Super cute and the overall vibes of working at a pumpkin patch made me wish I worked at one too! 📖 for a book rec, I would recommend “they never learn” by layne fargo if you haven’t read it yet! it’s become one of my favorite thrillers and is also set at a university, so it definitely has autumnal vibes! thank you for all the cozy fall recs! 🤍🕸🍂
Omg I loved House of Hollow, Sawkill Girls and Horrid! Those are some of my favorite fall time books. I think I have a thing with creepy girls and flowers. 😅📕👻
Your editing is always so freaking cute 😍😍😍 I loveeee fall time as well! I’m dying to read A Lesson in Vengeance! I love dark academia and need to read more of it! I’ve really enjoyed your past autumn recs videos as well! I loveddd House of Hollow! I’m so intrigued to read Horrid (the cover is stunning 😍)
I would DEEPLY suggest The Black Book of Secrets! It’s a middle grade set in a 19th century out-of-the-way town and it’s INCREDIBLE. I’ve re-read it four times!
Some great recommendations that I’ve made a note of in my (ever growing) TBR! 📚 Right now I’m indulging in Victoria Lee’s world of A Lesson in Vengeance 💜
I actualy just read the Picture of Dorian Gray and And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie, and the absolutely match the cozy vibes. Specially I think the Picture of Dorian Grey, there were so many moments where I just felt cold and I wanted to wrap myself in a burrito blanket XD
📚 just reading Small Spaces for a middle grade book club pick and its really spooky and autumn-ly. Thank you so much for these great recommendations especially the graphic novels sound really cute and cozy. short chapters are the best ... i feel like I am through a book in no time with short chapters - so much better.
📖 I’m thinking on picking up some of the books you’ve featured in this video. Thank you so much for the recommendations, Alex.😍 And yes, I do find that I go through books with short chapters much faster than the ones with longer chapters. Glad to know that I’m not alone on this.🤪
I loved this video! Thank you so much for always uploading such fantastic videos! Please don't mind when you upload, even if you're late:) Plus, you look so pretty in this video🍂🍁😊

your book recommendations are always ON POINT 👌🏻 I need to check out the middle grade books you recommended, since I love MG so much!
yess great recommendations lexii, would definitely add these books to my longggg tbr 😂📖 i'm currently reading scritch scratch by lindsay currie and it really gives me those eerie and spooky vibes. it's a middle grade but it scares me a lot 😭
As I’m a big reader, and I happen to be expecting our first baby this November, I feel like I NEED content on small children’s books for the atmospheric, spooky season. You know what I mean? Like, for sure I’ll read him and with him throughout the year but autumn and winter are VIBES. And I don’t necessarily know where to get some really good books that are age appropriate as he’s growing up! Would love to see content on this.
📖📚 The Last House on Needless Street was a really great read. I would highly recommend it. Also Wildwood Whispers it's the book I'm currently in the middle of and it's going to be a five-star for me. I think you would really enjoy it's about this girl who goes back to the Appalachians to scatter her friend's ashes and there she discovers a small town found family of "Wise Women". It's a little witchy, with lyrical writing, small town vibes, a murder mystery, and a little romance. I think it's right up your alley. Happy Halloween and happy reading.
I am seriously living for Lexi’s fall content now 🍂👻 love all of your recommendations a lot and I’ll try to read as many of the books as possible 🧡 My recommendation is murder mystery books by Yukito Ayatsuji (especially Another) and Yokomizo Seishi 📖
I love your recommendations so much! I’ve only read Mooncakes so far, and I agree it’s got such autumn vibes! Really love your taste in books, I subscribed right away. A book recommendation would be A girl who drank the moon (I’m pretty sure you’ve heard about it or maybe read it already?) but it’s a middle school book with atmospheric and cozy vibes.
I feel exactly the same way when I read books with short chapters. It’s a mind thing cuz with short chapters you feel like u can stop at anytime but with longer chapters U feel like u have no breaks or no stopping point if u need to stop
I just went to Barnes and Noble today and picked a bunch of your autumnal Tex’s along with others If We We Were Villains The House in the Cerulean Sea The Atlas Six… Along with a few others. I’m so excited to read them but I just don’t know where to start. 🤣🤣📖📚💙
