There's a special soap for wool and that's ( I believe) the smell you like. Btw I'm a knitter I've learnt that to keep the shape and the wool as long as you can in good shape, Don't wash your sweaters after just one use. Put them on a hanger to air in the shade because the direct sun could ruin the colours. Plus it's perfect if you are lazy, like me because it's less washing 😜
I chuckle as you say your still waiting for fall to come as here in NW Michigan winter has begun with slush and two inches of snow accumulation forecasted for this morning’s commute.😣 You definitely belong somewhere cooler!!! 😆 Montana is still pretty affordable from what I’ve heard. Sonoma is a Kohl’s brand. Supposed to be a more sustainable brand they claim. I have many Sonoma thrifted items. They are easy to find here. All of your sweaters are beautiful!!!💗💗💗
Oh my goodness, the weather is so strange lately. Here we still have 90 degree days left. But the nights and mornings are cooler. I definitely need to move somewhere cooler 😂
Every time I see a really cool fall sweater online it ends up being KJP and I curse the universe because I really can't justify spending like $200 CAD on one lol. I LOVE your Princess Highway one! I just started picking up a few of their skirts and sweaters last year and all of their stuff is so darn cute, it really hits that perfect balance of quirky and classic for me.
Omg I know 😭 I’m so lucky to have the ones I have after drooling over them for years. Now there’s new ones out on their site but can’t justify it 🥲 - but yes Princess Highway is so good! This years Black Friday sale on ModCloth I maaaay consider getting a little more 🤪
Think of it this way. Will you wear it 200 times over the life of the sweater? If yes, then it's worth it. Think about it. If you buy a shirt for 20.00, but only wear it say 5 times because you don't really love it then that's 4.00 per wear. I only buy stuff I love now and it's makes you pickier and makes the investment pieces worth it.
Oh my gosh i have the same Princess Highway sweater but in a brown! i was so shocked to see you with it though beause its an Australian brand haha! i love Dangerfeild and Princess Highway stuff! half my wardrobe is it! where i live in australia it is also so hot so i always die in sweaters even in winter haha but i wear them anyway
Yeah I’ve been so jealous of people’s Princess Highway clothes that I would see on Ig so I’m so happy Modcloth started carrying it since I couldn’t justify the international shipping fees. But yeah I feel that haha. I LOVE sweaters but it doesn’t get that cool here where I live in California. If I could save up some money I’d want to move somewhere colder.
first of all, beautiful background; your interior design is just out of control amazing. Second, love this style of video! Collections are a great way to get the ~serotonin~ of a haul without spending any money lol. And your collection is so cohesive!
Thank you! I agree, doing collection videos is a great alternative to hauling new stuff. And I’m super proud of my sweater collection haha so it’s perfect!! ♥️
OH MY GOD SIX K!!!! CONGRATS IL UR CHANNEL SO MUCH AND IM SO PROUD OF U AND UR CONTENT 😁🥰 and this video is *giving* the fall thrifting cozy content I N E E D E D
It’s interesting that your spiel about coupon codes was exactly my reading about incentive theory for my economics class 😂 Ease of access is really important to buy stuff, who’d thunk? Anyways, absolutely adored the vid - fall is my absolute favourite season and you have excellent taste in sweaters! I found consignment stores the best way to get wool and cashmere, which makes up the majority of my sweater collection. ❤
That is so interesting! I’m glad your class covered that. “Ease of access” really does describe it. The only affiliate links I do well with are the links to my Amazon storefront and idea lists. But ease of access is kind of built into Amazon since you can buy anything and everything there. And after people click the links of affiliates anything they buy in that session is credited as a sale regardless of if it was on the associate’s page or not. So someone could be shopping my lists and add a belt or a hat. Then be like “oh I need floss and toothpaste -add to cart-“ and those add on items count as a referral! & thank you! Autumn is my favorite as well! ♥️♥️
So I already knew about Dangerfield/PH/Modcloth but boy did I have no idea I was going to come out of this video wanting a KJP sweater.... Do we think I am smol enough to order a kids one? LOL They're so expensive I weep in *can't even afford a poshmark one* hahahah. I really enjoyed your collection and the audio wasn't even bad imo. Can't wait to see the sweatshirt styling video!
I had the same thought about the kids sweaters since the adult ones run large. Unfortunately the kids have the opposite issue. They run small. I remember seeing a review where a mom got the size 12, which is the biggest kid size, for their 8 year old and it was tight on him. Unfortunately people do resell the used ones for the market price which is unfortunate. I’ve seen some deals pop up on Mercari so definitely keep your eyes out!
I'll have to finish watching when the sunrises (i'm heading to bed) but I wanted to ask, did the youtube situation get figured out? Much love to you and goodnight!!
Yes so the monetization issue was a glitch apparently that a lot of creators were experiencing but they emailed me and told me it shouldn’t be an issue anymore. It seems to be working for me which is good!!
It depends on the sweater so I’d look at the product details of each sweater you’re looking at. They do have separate sweater sections for men’s and women’s but some of them are unisex sizing, like the leaf sweater. But the pumpkin sweater has a women’s fit and a men’s/unisex fit. I have the women’s one. Each product listing will have the details and each have their own size chart to help with fit sizing. So for the leaf sweater I have it in small and it is pretty loose and long on me but the pumpkin one, which is either a small or x small is more fitted and short.
I don't know if it's the same for you, but the 2 good wills near me do a crap job organizing, 5/6th of the store is clothing just jammed randomly together sweaters with the jeans with the swimsuits,...men's and kid's and women's cloths all jumped in a blob... and then the non clothing items are just dumped on shelves by.. wait for it.. color. Not theme like kitchen, sport, electronics, nope just color so a black cast iron pan is crushing a black laptop back and covered by black sport knee pads.. and its literally just all dumped on top of each other.. no organization at.all. I can't stand it.
What the heck?? I’ve never seen that. Whoever is managing those stores needs to be replaced. My stores are pretty organized. Things can get a LITTLE messy when they’re over stocked or there’s a sale but for the most part everything is organized by category, size and even down to color within the sub-categories in the clothes. Certain parts of the home section can get thrashed but there are also a lot of kids that come in with their parents that mess up the shelves.
@@DressMeUpScotty I don't minds a mild mess but that was too much chaos, I haven't gone back since. Thankfully there are 2 non chain thrift shops that do a wonderful job organizing thier stuff and pack a ton in the space they have, so I buy there instead.
