Yew trees represent life to me. I was diagnosed late stage with a rare, very aggressive form of cancer that had a 5 year survival rate of only 35%. I took part in clinical trials for a new chemotherapy drug that was derived from the yew tree. That was 21 years ago & I am very alive & well. That drug is now regularly used to treat some types of cancer. I believe with all my heart that the yew tree played a huge part in my survival. So yew trees represent LIFE in my realm & definitely have my respect. I LOVE your creation you made that was inspired by this enchanted tree & the other trees in your forest.
Trees have always represented safety to me. Mostly oak trees, as they were the ones I encountered most as a child. I loved climbing the trees, it was my happy place. They’ve even often appeared in my dreams, and they were always there for me to climb away from a threat
This was so enchanting….your walk in the forest….the gathering of creative things. So inspirational and such an up lifting sorry. I loved every minute! ✨🍄✨🍄
I've been in a funk lately and your last video inspired me to get off my butt and decorate for Halloween. Now your creativity level is expert and mine is basic (ie. more craft store pillows and less acorn bats) but it did shake the blues off a little. Thanks for sharing all your creativity with us!
I absolutely Love this tree, and all of your handmade decorations! I found your Channel about a week ago, and I cannot stop watching! I am new to exploring the witchy side of myself. You have helped me to understand a lot! Thank You for sharing your authentic self with us! Much Love from Kentucky! 💗
Love these craft ideas. I use fallen branches for year round décor, but now I want to make a yew tree. I'd never seen one before and I thought it was very enchanting. Thank you, Alwyn!
Send you much love from the North-West of Peru and Argentina, our fellow lover of Mother Nature!!! "In a tree I engraved thy name, That Name, illuminated by fireflies"
When I collect acorns, I hollow them out, let them dry and then use them as little spell "jars" and/or charms. You can put small things inside them then hang as decoration or bury them, sometimes leave them as an offering 💚🤎
Your tree story reminds me of the Faraway tree 🌳 a story my Nan used to read me when I was a little girl. It tells the story of a magic tree in the forest where the magic folk live, there is a different world at the top each day. 😊
Queen you and your videos are just so inspirational. And creative as well! Whenever I feel down or just kind of bored I always go straight to watching your videos.
The yew tree you made is stunning, love the bats from acorns, and the conkers in their spiky cases, what a good idea for hallowene decor. Love your fairy, she's so pretty.
Hello Alwyn. Your videos have inspired me to make autumn wreaths for myself, and my friends. Thanks to your videos, I foraged for items in making my wreaths, which I really enjoyed. I used various herbs in my garden for hidden witchy protection, Lavender, Rosemary and Sage and Laurel. I am delighted with my end results. Look forward to furthering inspirational videos.
I must agree with everybody else... How does that lovely brain of yours hold so much creativity and imagination ? I think your Faerie friend ads to your inspiration. I can't decide which is my favourite today, everything is so unique. Blessings and gratitude coming from the desert 💜🍄💜
Happy Autumn 🍂🧡☕️✨Your videos and creations are Beautiful. Along with your spirit. Thank you for your bright light you shine. I do believe you truly are part of the Faery Kingdom; teaching the earth people how to be kinder. And how to be more appreciative of the magic found in nature. Bless You 🌲🕯🌙
When using acorns- you might want to bake them first. Some of them might be infected with worms, and once you bring them home, to warmth, they start to crawl out. I know, I ended up with a bag full of them. Just put them in the owen for like 150°C or so for some time, it will kill all the possible worms inside. Wish I knew it sooner, it was not fun having them all over.
There's no need to kill anything at all! It just takes a little time in the sun, just put them somewhere on a window or in the garden and worms go away on their own, same happens with mushrooms for example...
This is so lovely, and it's special to me in a strange way, because I have been writing about a universe of my invention for many years that have tree portals at their center, as well as, in that universe, the structure of the universe itself is essentially a tree. Thank Alwyn. This really is beautiful, and if I can find the time, I really want to do this craft with my family. 💚
@Treetops' Tales 🎶 Yes! They're very similar, and it was definitely an inspiration for it, but my tree has other aspects to it that are different. It would take a book to explain, which is why I'm writing them. Lol
Love your tree with its gorgeous bats and conkers, your imagination if a wonderful gift that you so kindly inspire us with. A thousand blessing our dear Alwyn .🎄🌳🌲🦇🦇🦇🎃🎃🎃🍃🌬🐡🤯💜💜💜🧡🧡🧡😍💕💖
I’m having a cosy day catching up on your videos 🍂🎃I’ve recently lost my Dad 😢 so haven’t been watching anything until now. Absolutely love watching your videos and instantly feel relaxed. Thank you Alwyn xx
I love the bats! The fairy is cool too. I so want a raven, I've been looking for one like that. Wonderful video. I have an autumn themed playlist, if you would like to try it. Have a great day, and thank you for showing how to make the tree and bats and mushrooms!
I too love Halloween, Autumn and I'm very connected to the forests, woods and nature, I wander if you have seen the animation movie Fern Gulley, it is an old one but all about the fairies in the forest, one of my favourite movies which I highly recommend to you. Thank you for sharing your enchanted creations!
I adore your little bats!🦇💜 I love your how creative you are with nature. I loved your little nature faeries you made in a previous video also. You've brought back my creative spirit Alwyn.Thank you for making everything feel magical! Have an Enchanted Samhain!
I have to admit I was a bit skeptical as to how this tree was going to look in the end (the clay part mainly lol) but it has turned out wonderful as always. Thank you for your inspiration again, lots of love x
lovely video Alwyn. I watched the other day and I was going to say about the sweet chestnuts because I literally had a pile of them in my kitchen that I'd collected, but I got distracted so hence commenting now. I see lots of people have already mentioned it but yes those sweet chestnuts are delicious roasted over a fire - or in the oven and sprinkled with salt. The horse chestnuts are the larger inedible conkers and with their skins still on they are less prickly that the edible sweet chestnuts, but have fewer and shorter spikes and a tougher leathery kind of green skin. I'm sure you've already seen now. Regardless, I just love though how you could still use both type in a similar way in magic. The sweet chestnut can obviously be used it kitchen magic as well and by taking all of those amazing nurturing, abundance giving correspondences into the body for healing, warmth and comfort. Perfect for this time of year. Thank you so much for sharing your adventures and crafts! Blessings Xx
This magical tree is my favorite of all! The mushrooms are especially adorable. You are so talented and inspirational, thank you for sharing your ideas! ❤️🍁🍂🍄🌳
Aww thankyou so much Tori 🥰🍄🍂🧡 I realised when eating dinner now I'm not staring at people faces... I'm starting at the tree!! Much better to look at hahaha
Ohh you should have put some fairy lights inside the tree and then put a window on the tree. It would look so magical at night! It looks great this way too but when you started making it this is what I thought of immediately.
Oh I love this so so much! I've watched this video so many times! My favorite bit was the sweet little bats, my gosh you are so creative! I loved them so much that I made one too following your guide but his little wings dried up and peeled off! Can't wait to see what you will do for Yule this year! x
I love the nature connection and crafting.. the mushrooms were my favorite and I do think I shall try them. I already use acorns and pine cones and such. Blessings for this Samhain sabbath
So many wonderful ideas! I am delighted by & in awe of your creativity I like the chestnut/ buckeye seeds too! I like making the yew tree out of twigs, so very clever. Plus, the bat creatures were so creative. Today I feasted on autumn fruit, with oolong milk tea, whilst patchworking a pocket together out of a cleverly printed anatomical heart fabric scraps
Hi Catherine 🍁🧡 Your Sunday sounds very relaxing and autumnal - the perfect day really! Thankyou so much, so glad you liked the yew tree!! Lots of love 🧝♀️🍄🍁🧡
So magical!! I LOVE the bats! Sleeping and flying; sooo precious! How do you store them so they won’t get damaged? Or do you make new things each year? 🥰🎃🍁🍂🍄
