Listen, my friend thought it came from caramel nuts and still refuses to believe otherwise, Of course that’s a different friend from the one who doesn’t believe in lava and refuse to say that chickens or any other bird that can’t fly is in fact a bird. I’ve got stupid ass friends...
@@lydiav8836 I think it's a regional thing, I've never heard of anyone who doesn't use sugar, or seen a recipe that didn't call for melted sugar to hold it together.
You could try adding water and a little bit of salt so the melted sugar will be clear and it will still be liquid at cooler temperatures making it easier to work with
*_DISCLAIMER: If you are just joining this channel, and this is the first video you are seeing, expect WAY BETTER. HE IS A GREAT ARTIST and great ANIMATOR._*
YESS DO ANOTHER! You should try the candy art where they make a picture and then roll it really thin and make little pictures. I've seen people do it with clay too so you could always practice with that first
@Yeetus Defeetus royal icing, caramel, sugar cookie icing specifically, making a candy to the soft ball stage, or even a butter cream icing let it dry for a few days... but that may he the least stable
@@worried_sickk5811 my comment was JUST melted sugar because that is what he used caramel is cream and butter, candies also require melted sugar but corn syrup helps with the cool down and shape
@@worried_sickk5811 I think just sugar was a bad idea by adding like corn syrup he could of elongated the sticky factor with out fear of burning his hands and believe me hot melted sugar on flesh leaves the sickest of burns
Can we just appreciate how the chaotic process in this video is EXACTLY THE SAME as most of his videos, and this is the ONLY ONE where it didn't turn out right?
Just for Jazza, if he ever want to try it again... Water + Sugar = hot sugar sirup which can harden to sugar-glass if you stop before it turns brown (you need to check if it hardens with a wooden stick or drop some drops to a cold surface to see if it hardens... Sugar + Milk = Caramel - for hard candy, but try not to burn it... it needs to be a bit longer on the stove than sugar glass, you want a bit brown in it :D Sugar + Milk + Butter = and do it slowly and you'll get caramel for soft-candys :) ... and to be honest, I needed 3 tries to get blue sugar-glass (for a birthday cake ...for my little girl ... for a castle ... Frozen - do I have more to say..) because if it turns green, it is burned! :) Have fun with sugar! Yey!
make royal icing or just powdered sugar and water. You can add more water (just a few drops at a time) when it starts to dry off, too wet and it won't stay, but when it is like thick icing you can build candy sculpture with the icing as the glue between candy pieces.
You could try this challenge again with some research. Like using a double boiler to melt, and maybe add water to it, maybe try melting some of the candies, etc.
I think you should do a epic candy art challenge with the addition of hot glue to stick it altogether. Id love to see you make something 3d out of candy.
I just wanna say thank you. Thank you for your great content and thank you for the inspiration you gave me. You inspired me for many of my drawings and videos. Keep up the great work.
Plz use a metal or wooden spoon because the plastic one could melt. Put about 4 tablespoons of liquid to about a cup of sugar and stir until bubbly and golden
Yo i keep seeing u now on art vids btw ur drawings are sickkkk bruv but juat a help tip i think when drawing with pencil u should go darker so it looks more real or better:)
I actually expected something like window art from melted drops or a gingerbread-house-ish sculpture. Could you maybe conquer your trauma and try again Jazza?
The people from other countries can't understand the difference (like me) in Greece for example (my country) most of the people doesn't know the word candy is an american word.(sorry for my grammar as I said english is not my main language) 🙂
@@justiny.9989 He's still someone completely untrained and clueless, working with a liquid over 300 degrees hot, liquid sugar for hard candy can melt flesh off your body if you fuck up
I love this video. It makes you more human rather than an "ALL POWER, MEGA ARTIST!" It reminds me that even the experts struggle, so it doesn't matter if I do.
Oh god, I love that whoooooole talk with Kate 😂 "Are you sure ya wanna make it a video?" *Jazza answers in total child voice* That said - I do respect how willing you are to laugh at yourself. Very good quality in a human. 😘
