Karen, just found you and I can’t turn your videos off. Been watching you for 2hrs. Especially the one about your huge quilt that kept getting put away, while missing your family. Gotcha!! It’s getting Me! Love your inspiration and ideas. Will keep visiting you. Please don’t stop💕
Thanks for sharing more than: "a seam ripper, a zip bag for a project, a widget for your table'!!! These are unique and helpful...many of us will gift ourselves through the year as we shop with our gift cards. Thanks!
Karen, can we talk about how lovely your content is? ‘Cause it is. You’re like NPR, PBS, and sewing all decided to take on a fabric addiction! Thank you so much for keeping me and my hands company this year. Cheers!
Good morning everyone. I hope you find something in the list that appeals to you. It's a bit more fun than last year's list..which was so practical. I've included links but feel no pressure to use them. If this trigger other ideas for gifts please share it in the comments. Have a great weekend ❤️
so much inspiration (for myself ^^) but wow, the quilters planner is by now 50$.... and the non calendar planner 33$... did they just slap 5$ on everything? within less than a year?
Last year, as asked, I gave my son and his new wife my Amazon quilting list. He bought me something not on the list, which I did love. She bought me a little metal house that you plug in and it lights up and melts scented wax. I'm totally not into those things. But she loves them. This year will be better. My son kicked her out in less than a year for verbal abuse.
Thank you for this! My mom isn't a quilter but she loves puzzles and grandkids. I literally paused this video after the Ravensburg instructions to order a custom puzzle. She's impossible to gift so thank you for sharing! Back to finish the video now🙂🙂🙂
I love your videos and the way you present them. You are a natural. Not to take away from your usual lovely look, but you look fabulous...Covid agrees with you. So many of us are looking haggard!! Stay safe and Merry Christmas to you and your family. ps..keep making those videos!!!
Thank you 😊 for the very helpful video. I ve been looking for labels for some time and this one is perfect. I love your videos & how you walk us thru the projects. Would love ❤ to see a video on how to sew a memory lap quilt blanket with pictures , as I recently lost a close family member and would love to make her a memory lap blanket of the love & yrs they shared together ❤
Thank you for the review of the Panasonic cordless iron. I had been thinking about getting one, but thought they might not work well. After watching your video, I used your link and purchased one. I love it!! Nice and hot and the steam if great. Thank you so much.
Great ideas here.. my family and I did a Santa quilting puzzle a couple of years ago and we framed it to hang year around. You just made my day. As I was watching you talk about labels for your quilt I suddenly see my quilt of valor label that I designed flash on the screen. I was so excited that I had to call my mom immediately! Thank you so much for showing it! Have a wonderful weekend and a happy and healthy holiday season.
Thank you Karen for the great ideas for quilter gifts. Yesterday our great granddaughter wanted to know if I had her jean Christmas quilt I made for her when she was four. She took it to school because her class is so cold! Quilts gives sooo much love! ❤️🎄
I will 2nd the wireless earbuds. Starting quilting is what finally made me buy AirPods-the wires on my old ones kept getting in the way. It was a game changer.
Another wonderful video Karen, full of useful advice and fun ideas. I hope this holiday season brings you great joy and much well deserved peace. Blessings to you, your son and your family. 💖👍😎 Just noticed you went over 200K,, congratulations! 100k in the last year is really great.. very happy all your hard work has paid off. I could watch new videos from you daily!
@@JustGetitDoneQuilts It is well deserved Karen. Don’t underestimate what you do. You have a great gift for explaining and encouraging many of us. Your enthusiasm and love of quilting comes through in every video. You’ve motivated many of us to start or finish many projects and for that we owe you a debt of gratitude Watching one of your videos is like having a cup of tea with a friend,, it’s just sad because it ends too soon!. Your success is well deserved and I sincerely hope it continues!!
Thank you for another great video Karen. I had not idea about the custom puzzles. I have a good friend who loves her puzzles. I will look at having one made of a photo a her dear granddaughter for her birthday next year. For me, I love the idea of the Plan to Quilt book.
Congratulations and thank you! My clinical nurse loved her Ugly Christmas quilt so much she cried. It was just the surprise brighten her day. Thank you again for the pattern. Definitely one to make as nd gift again.
If anyone out there is wondering what to get me for Christmas, any of these items or the one in KB’s gift-vid from last year will work very well for me. Ha! Another great vid. You’re getting fancier, Karen. Very professional looking.
Thank you, Karen for your great inspirations and tips. My gifts this year for quilters (and others) are a self-made book cover, made from scraps (quilt as you go), the fastest and easiest way, creating a top layer with batting and backing in one go. I FMQ their name in a free space, or eg. ALL MY SINS etc. and put a note pad in the envelope. For the cheeky friends: an edition of a Machiavelli or a 50 Shades of Grey.... The one I already have handed out just wet her pants....;-). It also is a handy way to use up your scraps, emptying your buckets and make space for new fabrics:-). Your ugly quilt made it top on my list this year - fantastic idea!
Thank you! I have gotten quite the list from my adult daughter that just started quilting in the last few years. I love the game idea! And all the other ideas! Oh, we can't wait to hit the retreats, stores, quilt shows, etc. etc. when all this Covid is over! If all else fails, a gift card is great to be able to hit the after Christmas sales! You are very much appreciated and we love your videos!
@@susanblackwell1721 I will get this information for you, I need to look at the packages at the store, looking online is not helping me figure it out and I've no longer got the packaging for mine!
Great ideas! One can also design and print quilt labels using a computer and inkjet printer. Cut-resistant safety gloves are also good for the energetic but focus-challenged among us, and heatproof fingertip protectors (sold beside glue guns) are nice for those doing lots of fiddly pressing.
Hi Karen. Great video. Perhaps one day you'll make a video on how you hung the red quilt behind you, or the various ways to hang them. I never make a sleeve correctly. The fabric pulls up and you can see it above the quilt binding, while hanging on the wall. Thanks.
I’m going to learn a new technique with pencils and painting on fabric with them. The pencils aren’t cheap so a good one to put on your list. I got a small tin of Derwent Inktense and just pre purchased my own present prisma pencils. Check out you tubes on these they are amazing from Jodie in Melbourne Australia 🇦🇺 just out of our second lockdown so got to see a patchwork shop for the first time since March 💗
Gosh! You just make my day! So cheerful and your scarf matches the quilt room Reds! HA! I am seeing some gift bags on your shelves- this is too funny- I am wondering what is in those, or are they also part of the red design! HA! I had to get tested for Covid yesterday. I have been staying home anyhow because I am at week 8(of 12) of recovering from back fusion and disc removal. What a year it has been. My husband is in bed with terrible back pain from discs worn down and bone spurs! He has a terrible headache and his Mom who is 92 just got out of the hospital with Covid! YEA she came home! There are real blessings in this world: Karen Brown, my quilting dining room table, the sun, the birds and my Airedale terrier! Everything has its season and 2020 is not a complete doom! So happy to be able to go online and see another crazed quilter like me! Thank You!
I think you have just cost my family or me some cash.... finally a game for me! Can you see Jake or Anne playing with me. Maybe Moe will if he will consent to going to the basement! Great tips! Can I suggest a gift certificate to your locL store? It will help them in this time coming up too!
You have such a great sense of humour. It made me stop, and laugh out loud. ❤️❤️❤️ The gift certificate was on last years list. Next year I'll say it again. 🤗
OMGoodness! You have some wonderful ideas for the quilter. I just added at least 5 items to my Christmas list. Thank you! Love you tutorials and that you share your talent!
Congratulations on your subscribers Karen ! Great news. Maybe there are one or two things I would like after all. Great suggestions there for gifts. Thankyou for doing your lists.
Karen, Congratulations on reaching 200,000 subscribers 👏👏👏 Your videos are so informative and I find myself watching a couple of times to make sure I don’t miss any tips. I love the energy you have and your enthusiasm for quilting ❤️🏆
Dear Karen, your video quality just keeps on getting better! Great gift ideas! However I'm impatiently waiting over here for the rest of your "Organize your space" series!! lol I'm in the midst of redoing mine, and don't want to complete it until I see all your tips!! Thank you for your great content. Always practical and helpful and real. (foot tapping fingers drumming waitinggg!!!)
Amazon allows you to make wish lists and you can share them with family. I ended up getting some of the stuff my mom had on her list at another store but Amazon sells just about everything so at least they have an idea what you want.
