With only 3 days left until our Big Fat 18th Century Wedding we needed to make a sample cake. But, just like everything else, this can't be any ordinary wedding cake. Let's review a 200 year old recipe from 1828! Will it pass our test and make it into our big day? Despite having a Rev War themed wedding we are trying out early 1800s wedding cakes to make both of us happy.

I'm gonna echo this. The most important thing is for YOU TWO to have a good time. Your friends and family love you and are celebrating YOU TWO. And I can speak from experience: there's literally never been a perfect wedding. But There are great stories to laugh and joke about years later, great times with friends, clinking glasses, games, all years later at the dinner table when someone says "Remember that time....." Traditional British wedding cakes were fruit cakes. And the top layer is saved for the christening of your first child. The more eggs makes it more moist. I can't wait to see pictures of the wedding! 3 days away! Bless you! ❤❤😊🎉

I say skip the live video of the wedding and have Ron edit together some footage of what friends and family shoot. One less thing to worry about and too many things can go wrong. And remember, no matter how much you plan, something will go wrong. Go with it, enjoy your day and celebrate each other!

That should be fun! I love editing so much that I mainly use an old Canon A410 camera that only records 3 minute videos with no sound and my "spare parts" computer with windows 7 can handle its format.

Hint on stacking cake layers...put supports inside the bottom layer to hold up the upper layers...kinda like big straws. Cut them the same height as the cake & they'll hide just fine!🙂 5 supports in larger layers, 4 for 8" size & so on...

I was laughing so hard... that boy said "it's not a problem it's an issue" ... "well the bedroom has plenty of windows" ... "Robert, that's why I designed it like that.... DAMN - you got an architecture major just for your master bedroom. When you have a visitor in the crib and you "sear 4 god" that bedrooms came with interiior windows in the hallways during Colonial times. Your guest would be like "I aint an expert but 12 windows dog." At the center big bay window. I love watching this channel for a multitude of reasons (mostly knowledge and food) but every video or two yall get me rolling hard AND THIS ONE WILL HAVE ME DIEING FOR A LONG TIME 2 COME.
