🎄 Thread Finally Tries HARDCORE! 🎄 E01 | Valheim Hardcore Preset Gameplay 

Viking navigation tip: Not sure if anyone noticed, but the sun's reflection on the water, forming the sun glitter path (see 51:28 for example), remains consistently visible when the sun is low, even if the sun itself isn't visible! This phenomenon persists in fog, rain, and even in the thickest mist in the Mistlands. Just after sunrise, the glitter path points directly east, and just before sunset, it aligns with the west. Similarly, you can use the moonlight glitter path; it stays visible irrespective of weather, pointing east just after sunset and west just before sunrise. The sun and moon glitter paths are easily distinguishable by their colors.

Thread, I came across your channel last month and your videos are so good. They are getting me through a rough patch in my life. I just came from your series with henrick and I almost felt lost once I finished it, but on the bright side I can finally can watch this series and in the first 15 mins I’m glued and invested. I’m not very skilled in valhiem but I love it, and seeing you take on a challenge like this blows my mind. Good luck to you and I’ll be here watching!

This challenge is a beast. I wish you luck trying to somewhat randomly stumble upon the later boss stones, you may roughly know the direction but won't know if it's the next island over or half a map away. Also, sailing without a map.... Thanks for bringing us along though, I always like watching your Valheim adventures.

I started a no maps no portals game a couple of weeks ago. I really am enjoying the change in play without maps. It is quite a game changer with no maps. the brain has too work quite differently. We will see how no portals go.

That extra 20% move speed they all have is brutal.

That dwarf fight was intense! I'd be interested in your tips video. I think you'd offer a good point of view.

Oh, the crypts rotate your orientation 90 degrees clockwise (to the right) from the outside to the inside. You can test this yourself by using a tool rack (or tanning rack) as a build-piece (it's directional, tools on one side) by aligning it outside the crypt entrance, then seeing it's alignment inside the crypt. So, from the inside of the crypt, exiting the crypt will rotate you 90 degrees counterclockwise. Therefore, upon exiting the crypt, you will need to turn 90 degrees clockwise (to the right) in order to align yourself with the inside crypt exit. This DOES NOT affect the build-piece orientation when determining the boss direction location. So, the build-piece direction inside the crypt does match the direction outside of the crypt, despite the 90 degree player perspective shift. (I just tested this to be certain.) PS. As a side note, playing a seed with a visible map, then switching the world modifiers to no map, then back to visible map, will retain all of the original map exploration.

As someone with a strong sense of direction, it was pretty funny when you got to the new river and thought it was the old one. 😁 still trying to decide if it’s going to be funny to watch or hard to watch, but I’m leaning on the side that you’ll get a system going soon lol
