Stuffing
✨1/2 loaf of bread - I used baguette
✨1 12oz bag of pepperidge farm herb seasoned cubed stuffing
✨1lb jimmy dean sausage
✨fresh herb mix (1 Tablespoon of each: thyme, sage, parsley, rosemary
✨1/2 teaspoon of celery seed
✨4 celery stalk diced
✨2 small yellow onions diced
✨6 garlic cloves minced
✨2 1/2 sticks of unsalted butter
✨salt and pepper to taste
✨2-3 cups of chicken broth
✨optional better than bouillon to enhance flavor
Instructions:
1. Tear bread into chunks.
2. Bake the bread at 350°F for 20 minutes to dry.
3. On the stove, brown sausage.
4. When sausage is half way Brown Melt 1 stick of butter in the same pan. Add fresh herbs, celery seeds, onion, celery, and garlic one cook until softened.
5. Combine sausage and onion mixture with bread and pepperidge cubes.
6. Gradually add your stock to the bread mixture and mix well until desired consistency
7. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
8. in a separate saucepan, Melt to the remaining butter and sauté garlic until fragrant.
9. Poor melted butter mixture into the stuffing and mix again.
10. Add it to your baking pan
11. Bake at 375°F for 40 min-1 hr
Candied Yams Recipe:
Ingredients:
5 sweet potatoes, cubed
2 sticks of butter
1 cup dark brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
Cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon Nutmeg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Marshmallows
Squeeze of fresh lemon
Instructions:
1. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt butter, brown sugar, white sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg until well combined.
2. Add vanilla extract and a squeeze of lemon juice to the mixture.
3. Incorporate cubed sweet potatoes into the saucepan, ensuring they are well-coated with the butter mixture.
4. Cook for about 10 minutes, allowing the sweet potatoes to absorb the flavors.
5. Transfer the mixture to a baking dish.
6. Bake the sweet potatoes in the preheated oven for 45 minutes or until soft
7. After 45 minutes, add marshmallows to the top of the sweet potatoes.
8. Broil 1-2 minutes or until the marshmallows are golden( make sure baking dish is not too close to the top of the oven or they will catch fire)
9. Remove from the oven and enjoy!
Mac and Cheese Recipe:
1.5 lbs pasta of choice
16 oz Colby jack
16 oz Gouda
16 oz gruyere
4 teaspoon butter
4 cups heavy cream
1 Tablespoon Dijon mustard
2 teaspoon chicken bouillon
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon white pepper
1 teaspoon paprika
Instructions:
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F.
2. Cook pasta in salted water until al dente; you can use water seasoned with chicken bouillon.
3. In a large pot over medium heat, melt butter.
4. Pour in heavy cream and add chicken bouillon, onion powder, Dijon mustard, paprika and white pepper. Stir to combine.
5. Once the mixture is warmed, reduce heat to low.
6. Gradually add Colby jack, Gouda, and gruyere cheese, one handful at a time. Stir between each addition to ensure the cheese fully melts. Reserve some cheese for the topping.
7. When the cheese sauce is smooth, combine it with the cooked pasta.
8. Transfer the mac and cheese mixture to a baking dish.
9. Top with remaining cheese
10. Bake at 350°F for 25 minutes.
11. After baking, broil for an additional 5 minutes or until the top is golden brown. Enjoy!
