PennyLS1, you can save material and work by applying body filler directly to epoxy primer. But, it would have to be within a 24 hour window (IIRC). I learned this years ago at a PPG seminar on DP90 epoxy primer. I assume this would be true for other epoxy primers, but check with the manufacturer's tech service. DP90 is a non-sanding epoxy primer, so it has to be top coated within 24 hours to have a chemical bond to following coats. This will likely to be true for either filler or 2K primer, so once you spray the epoxy, you would have to finish all final touches (including 2K priming) the same day.
