These all seem really awesome. I can make music videos on this, right? Like if I wanted to make one with some of my favourite cartoons or something? Can you add music on here?
I need youre help i have a 40 min video but its squished together like its a 5 minute one i cant edit it well how can i re size it to be longer so that i can edit more spesifically like you did here : 11:51 is smaller but 12:00 is bigger
As someone new to video editing and on a tight budget, I'm actually astounded at how thorough Clipchamp is as a jumping-off point. Surprised more people don't use it. Thank you so much for the video!
@@Uncle_Bob660 Totally free. But you don't get access to all of the editing features and libraries unless you upgrade to premium. You can still make polished videos without premium, though.
@@sundaydriverinnewyork if you are using free Clipchamp you can export it to 1080p and if it isnt showing as HD it is probably your footage that isn't good enough
Mr. Kevin, I am a Sri Lankan who is determined to teach and change the way how English is taught in Sri Lanka, because of your recomendation; first I downloaded the 'clipchamp' and now I am watching this tutorial with an intetntion of using it later on. I must say that, you had already helped me to grow my channel and in retrun helped thousands of Sri Lankans to learn English better. Well done Sir! Thanks a million.
*with the intention, not with an intention. *have already, not had already. *in turn, not in return. Plus a lot of weird wording issues and spelling mistakes. If you truly are an English teacher, you're doing a massive disservice to your students. Please work on your own skills first before trying to teach someone. Your students deserve better.
@@Justakatto “I am a Sri Lankan” If YOU could read, you would know its most likely google translate errors instead of bad spelling. Maybe try reading next time.
Thanks Kevin for the helpful tips. I was looking for info on how to zoom in on a clip, and your section on jump cuts was the easiest explanation I've found.
Finally I got a game changing free video/audio editing software. As a student and a content creator this will help me a lot saving my time and making the editing easier. Thanks Kevin!
You can also use DaVinci Resolve for video editing and GIMP for photo editing. Theyre both properly professional editing softwares and both are 100% free.
Absolutely brilliant I know what you said is something that people would have to figure out over a matter of time however you've made it that simple and quick that literally within 10 minutes you've given us a brilliant understanding and saved us a lot of time having to figure it out ourselves
Clipchamp is the most reliable video editing software I have ever used and I was most fortunate to find it at a most crucial time. Thank you for your all-the-more motivating video.
I like the text to speech feature, and it uses voices that attempt to be natural, which makes it pleasant to listen to. Also, what I love about Clip Champ is its accessibility to work with screen readers on Windows. This is the only app that I know of, which I can use to put up a video together even though I am blind. As they have already mentioned it, you are such a good content creator Kevin, my go to place when I need some help with a particular software. I am always impressed when you cover the shortcut keys of the apps you are featuring on the videos because these are what helps me perform my tasks as I can't use the mouse. So, good job there. I hope that Microsoft introduces shortcut keys to Clip Chump.
Blind : u inspire and motivate me to stop being afraid to fail. Question : can you import 15-20min vids made by others to make into my own reaction videos?
This video is life for me right now. I'm plenty comfortable with audio, but video I'm brand new to. This is going to be a game changer for me. Thank you!!
For the first time EVER you have created a problem for me, rather than solving one! Now I don't know whether to continue to use OBS and Shotcut for my WordPress tutorial videos or switch to Clipchamp! Thanks for the great videos.
For transitions you can also highlight the sections of video (or all if you want the same transitions throughout) to add it there. You can also group together and move the clips when they are highlighted
Kevin, I really enjoy your RU-vid video tutorials. Thank you so much for all that you do. You have taught us all so very much about technology. You make technology much easier to understand and fun to use.
The text to speech is great! I also love that it can do multiple languages, so as long as you have the text you can have the voice say it, which is great if your self-conscious about your pronunciation.
Please fix the CC/subtitle function. When you cannot edit the timing of each subtitle, sentences are cut off mid-sentence which creates a horrible reading flow.
Thank you so much for this helpful video. I have been struggling with which app to use for my RU-vid video editing, but now I know that Clipchamp is the one for me. Your assistance is greatly appreciated.
I liked the graphics and sfx soo much. I'm using clipchamp for 4 months by now and I've just checked the basic things in it. The video was sooo helpful that now I could make my videos much more better. Thankyou Kevin.
Thank you so much, since I am starting with this app for my NGO work, your editorial is really helpful. It will be a great learning experience for me. Thanks again.
This was a really useful intro to clipchamp and very helpful. Just putting together a wildlife video for EWG and it has given me a bag of skills I can use to make a video that looks professional. Thanks
Great video! very informative, as a new content creator finding a simple yet consistent video editing software has been difficult. I do find clip champ to be fairly easy and consistent to use.
This looks like a great tool for basic editing, shame it doesn't appear to be able to do things like gradual slowdown (would be awesome for action shots), you can only set a static speed.
@@KevinStratvert As an early adopter of Windows 10, I've spent years as an insider submitting and upvoting feature requests that reached thousands of comments/upvotes, nothing ever came of a bunch of them, so I have little to no faith in Microsoft's ability to respond to user feedback.
@@dominic.h.3363 I wouldn't give up. Keep in mind that there are thousands of other requests, some that likely have similar numbers of upvotes. When I worked on Office.com, the user feedback directed our investments.
@@KevinStratvert For my feature request that's all about convenience to go through, first they have much more basic issues to work on. For example, apparently nobody who works with Clipchamp ever heard of deaf people, because the captions are strictly tied to the audio, so if you make any attempt at removing audio, you automatically lose the captions AND you can not load a custom SRT file, you either use the auto-generated captions hardlinked to the audio, or nothing. I've had to switch to a different video editing tool that's designed with more sense...
Best feature?? - Absolutely the caption/subtitle option. Amazing - just found this and it will make my work so much easier on youtube videoes. Just waiting for it to understand danish better :-) 🙂
I enjoyed the video; my favorite part was the underlying knowledge transfer about positioning content to appear precisely when and where desired. The examples, such as the greenscreen and Picture-in-Picture tips, were particularly enlightening. Having used Clipchamp sporadically for about a year, I was unaware that the upper-layer content could be resized to reveal content beneath it. The hidden effects were also a cool discovery; I had no idea they existed.
OMG! Thank you. I was having the hardest time editing on my MacBook. I have a dell and said it has to another way to edit my content. I love clipchamp. It's easier to use.
