@@jillcampbell8019, it’s commitment from early age through youth to adulthood. Attention to detail, and endurance which overcomes discouragement - the capacity to accept instruction ! And the cost of instruction - lessons ! Oh praise God from whom all good things come. 😀
Thank you for sharing this beautiful music. My heart needed it today. Our adult son has been in the ICU for several nights battling double pneumonia. and it really lifted my spirits. Thank you.
Thank you for such a wonderful group of popular Easter hymns. Although many tunes are changed wording they bring the same message!! Christ won the Voctory over Death! He offers salvation to all who believe in Him and follow his Word. Have a Blessed Easter Richard, Catherin and Hurgo too!! With Christian Love! Lynnae Larson Hartford, CT New England, USA

Happy Easter to the McVeigh household! This takes me back to Easter Sundays during my childhood. I played a few of these hymns this morning after I got out of bed while my grandsons listened.
What glorious music on which to reflect even now, 4 mos later in Aug, & Ordinary Time of Church Calendar! Always new & fresh to hear! Thank you & GOD bless, McVeigh's!
Thank you Richard for making my Easter Sunday morning a very special one as I had the privilege & pleasure to listen to your wonderful service during my morning ritual walk along our local beach promenade with views of Table Mountain 🙏🏼 10:02 10:04
BRAVO Richard and all who helped to produce this segment. IN a few short weeks we will enter the 40 days of Advent, preparing for HIS Birth. This will be my 71st year celebrating this event that GOD gave us HIS only son born of a virgin to become our CHRIST and SAVIOR. The wonders for me knowing the story of HIS Birth still is clear as a bell from the 1st time I understood what HIS Birth meant. Folks spread the GOOD NEWS, CHRIST YESTERDAY, TODAY and TOMORROW is HERE Always so be comforted knowing HE is with us always even unto the end of this world. Pax+
So… I was going to steal this, after watching it last night. So focussed on it, I started the hymn in E instead of E flat!! End of second verse I’m thinking - is this too high for congregation in F? Have I got the modulation in my head sufficiently to busk it up a further semitone? Have I the headspace to transpose my prepared ‘last verse’ harmony up a tone (instead of the key-change-trick E flat to E)? I bottled it and didn’t bother!
This is so so lovely. I do a similar program, Sunday Hymns on the Organ with Oladapo Okunmuyide. And I see someone to follow. Thank you for the inspiration.
What a powerful way to open!! I know that song as I Sing the Mighty Power of God that Made the Nations Rise. I plan to listen to the program fully after family Easter celebration.
Excellent selection of Easter hymns Richard! Most of these I played this morning. Even after 32 years of playing, I never get tired of playing hymns and sacred songs. The Strife is O’er is my favorite. This cathedral and organ is so beautiful. I noticed they put in new chandeliers since I visited back in 2001. Love how much natural light comes thru the stained glass windows. Thank you again for this video-I enjoy admiring the architecture. Hope you and your family have a wonderful Easter weekend!
Thanks so very much for your hard work. Putting all this together is such a blessing for all the BIS family. I hope you,Caroline and Hugo are having a great Happy Easter together. The recital and today’s programs were nothing short of incredible! God bless you all!
Enjoyed 👏🏻👏🏻👍🏻🍻 Jesus Christ is risen today we sing a fair bit quicker in wales, also Jesus lives thy terror now we sing the alleluia slightly differently- we count a 3 beat twice and we sing a different tune to the “the strife is oer”
Your constant reaching for stops, which is totally unnecessary, results in a terrible rhythmic insecurity that is absolutely runious. Stop it. (Pardon the pun!)
Happy Easter Richard and Caroline and the little ones! I was shocked when I realized the event was already over ! I'm watching the replay right now. The sounds of the organ the visual photography was awesome congratulations for another stellar event😊❤
Great to have found your channel. I remember you from my days at York University, you were the organ scholar at York Minster. Coincidentally we now live in Lincoln and my eldest son is a chorister in the cathedral choir. The organ is superb 👌 sounds marvellous for the Easter hymns!
