Thats what i look like when my brain gives me a wierd thought and i have to think about it and i end up sitting on my bin bag with my blanket wrap around me for a hall day
do you ever cut the eggs? i know that some snakes can get stuck in the eggs if they aren’t strong enough or able to pip for whatever reason. if anyone is confused, cutting the slit in the egg for them just gives them the ability to breathe (they can drown in their egg fluid if they can’t cut their egg in time) but also gives them the opportunity to come out when they are ready. do you ever do that with your eggs?
For some random reason, this account came up on my feed. I’m gonna be totally honest, I was totally grossed out so obviously I clicked to see wtf it was. I didn’t realize that I had a literal look of disgust on my face until I went through like 3 videos and saw this little guys head popping out, then my face suddenly fixed itself lol. I’m not a huge fan of snakes, but this lil guy is a cutie
I would love to own these snakes but the live feeding is a no go for me. I watched my brother feed a budgie to his when I was a kid and didn't care for it.
Great question Ashanti! The survival rate of the babies is much higher if i incubate. I can better control the temperature and humidity, which is essential for hatching out healthy and happy snakes. It also lets me address any problem eggs with out disturbing the mother and the other eggs. It also helps the mother get back on food. She stops eating while pregnant which could be months. So after she lays her eggs she has lost a considerable amount of weight. If I let her incubate she won’t eat until after the eggs hatch but if I pull them she will start eating again. 🐍💚
