Ooh! You'll have to let me know if your hamsters like them! Usually it seems like if they eat mealworms, they tend to like crickets too. I'm thinking the cage theme might be a seasonal one, it's just deciding which season! 😀

I can't say I blame Kashi for not being keen on leaving her hamster paradise 🌴🌾🌱 Small pets have such big personalities and those of us who are lucky enough to really get to know our pet's likes and dislikes are blessed. I love you channel and that your pet's needs and wants always come first 💖

Kashi is soooooooooooooooooooooooooo cute omg! I have missed seeing her little cute face! I love the sweater! How are you? Wow, that cage looks good. Nice to see Kashi again. Love that square jar/bottle. I will look for one for my next hamster. Still trying to rescue a domestic pet rat living in my back yard since the Feb 15 to no avail. She is still avoiding the live trap. I hope that I will rescue her soon.

Even though they are dried and not alive, I still find myself jumping if I touch their leg or something. 😂 Eeek! ooouuuu do a meadow/spring cage theme please!! like green bedding with maybe some other coconut or soil based bedding to be the “dirt” with maybe some flower chews, cute logs to represent trees maybe? oh! maybe a section of blue bedding as a little pond? IF YOU HAVE A DUCK OR BUNNY HIDEOUT THAT WOULD BE SO CUTE!! 🐰🐥 please do this idea!! and like a log hideout too! i know they sell those at petsmart! i have one! they work so well!

Hi hoping hammy..i enjoyed your video very much. Your sweater looks great..and Kashi s cage also still looks great. It is a good sign i think if she mess up everything a little bit. Thats means that she is exploring s lot wich is a good sign for a hamster. If everything would be completely the same as is was i think you would be very worried. And you are going to make a new cagetheme soon..yeah....that is very exiting news..i did my cage too lastv week..i made a dessert theme and Klaver likes it very much. Gosh, I used to watch your videos all the time back when I was in like Year 4 and 5...I'm in Year 10 now, preparing for my mock exams. I can still remember Sumatra, Gingersnap, and some whose names I can't remember right now, too! I can honestly remember thinking that you were my best friend even though I hardly knew you lol, and being so, SO sad when we lost Sumatra. Thank you Hillary! I agree that she looks much younger and while I don't know her genetics (she was originally from a large chain pet store before adopting her), I think good diet is playing a role in her health. I hope she continues to do well. ❤️

Hey! 🤗 Thank you so much! My weekend was nice! I was kind of rushing to get a video done, so it feels good to have it completed now! Yes, Kashi is too cute and she has the sweetest face and personality. It would be amazing for her to live to 3 years!!! 💗 I'm unsure her genetics though, but she did originally come from a large chain pet store. Enjoy the rest of your day! 😀

@@HoppingHammy im glad your weekend was good. Sorry i find it stupid that youtube doesnt give any notifications when someone replies to my comment. That way i never know if you responded unles i check every once in a few hours. Does Kashi click with her teeth when she hears you but doesnt know its you? Both my syrians will click with their teeth if they hear something in the cage but they dont know its me. The breeder said its a sign that they will bite unless you let them know its you. Is Kashi the same?

Does RU-vid do that on all other videos you reply to as well? It's possible you aren't getting notified on my videos, in particular, because I have all of my comments set to approve only. That means I have to manually approve them before they show up publicly. :) This keeps TONS of swearing and drama off of my comments section, which is great! But unfortunately it also might affect people getting notified of replies. I'm not sure though! Anyway, no Kashi doesn't click with her teeth because I'm always careful to talk and let her know I'm around before doing anything with her cage. I have had a couple of Syrians in past, though, who would do that! It's true that teeth clicking is known to be a warning sign to intruders to back off.

@@HoppingHammy okay. No its not only with you. Its with every single video on youtube. I only get notified for when my comment is liked or got a heart! It would be handy if youtube made sure to give us notifications when someone replies to my comment. I know ive sometimes replied and asked someone something in the comments, unless i remember which video it was, ill never find out if someome responded or not. Quite a few months ago i came back to a video that i watched before, and saw that i commented on that video a long time ago, it had 7 replies. 2 of which were a question from someone to me. If i knew that person responded, then i couldve answered their questions. Oh btw i LOVE the hamster puzzle! Its soo unique!😍

@@HoppingHammy ah okay. Im glad im not the only one who is experiencing the clicking of the teeth with syrian hamsters. I sometimes forget to talk to them before even putting my hand in the cage lol. But as soon as i hear the clicking ill say to them "dont worry its me, its okay, im not a threat". And then ill slowly move my hand towards them so they can smell me. After that, its all good again hehe

I love your channel so much you inspired me to build a cage that is 5 feet long by 3 feet wide for my dwarf hamster and so because of you my hamster has a even better life. Koa my hamster originally was in a cage that was 1000 square feet.

Hello! :) Taxonomist doesn't sell her mix, sadly, but this is due to a few reasons. It's very costly to put together as she spends quite a lot on high quality ingredients that are difficult to find. Another reason is because it could be a liability to start selling food to other people. I hope this makes sense!

Just a tip on the mealworms, you can buy a huge bag of mealworms in the bird section of walmart for way cheaper than the one in the petstore. Nothings mixed in its just dried mealworms and it's way cheaper

Thank you for your tip, but I don't trust buying pet food from Walmart. I prefer to buy from a reputable brand, even if it's a little more costly. :)

I have a hamster and a hedgehog and my hedgehog LOVES mealworms and I tried giving one to my hamster and he hated it so much I put it in his food bowl he took it out and threw it across his cage then I tried giving it to him he dropped it and ran away
