Hi, Mo! I love the sets that come out for the holidays, too! So festive. I ended up purchasing the Pumpkin Spice palette and I'm very impressed. It's a good staple palette and I like that there are deeper, pigmented transition shades. I bought the Urban Decay Stoned Vibes palette, too, because I can't get enough shimmer/sparkle. (Not that I'm going anywhere, but who says I can't throw on a good Instagram worthy eye before doing household chores?) LOL! The old radio shows reminds me of my adoptive dad. He's always been a big fan of "The Shadow". Thanks for your review!
Hello, Claire! It’s no secret that I love holiday sets, too. I’m so glad you’re enjoying the Pumpkin Spice palette-I really think they did a nice job with that one. I wasn’t drawn to the full-sized Stoned Vibes, but I ordered the smaller holiday set, so I’m looking forward to trying that. I don’t go anywhere and I wear makeup nearly every day-it always makes me happy. Oh, that’s a nice memory! My dad was the one who introduced me to Old Time radio, too.😊
We have a lot of the same tastes in make up! I’m so glad you used it on camera because you made those colors rock 🎸. I loved the cinnamon bear story. I may not be able to resist this set. Oh and yes, I also have a thing for cool pink blush.
Hi Catherine! I’m glad to hear that-I always enjoy finding reviewers with tastes similar to mine, too. I can’t recall if we’ve talked about the elf ‘Always Preppy’ blush, but that’s a beautiful cool pink.
For some reason I thought the liquid lip was one of their fun sized ones. Pleasantly surprised. Love your review. Wish the blush would have been more cinnamon leaning.

I’m actually glad it didn’t have an overpowering cinnamon scent, Do the Right thing. It might have been a bit too much for me. Hope you enjoy your palette.

Hi Karen! I swear, every time I review something I think ‘Karen will/won’t like this one’-I was guessing this one was a bit red-toned for you.🙂 I do think this would be a great gift. Like, if someone had given me this when I was in high school, my eyes would have exploded out of my head. I *still* remember an Avon eye shadow my mon gave me one Christmas when I was 14-seriously, this stuff has always stolen my heart. I hope you have a great week, too!
@@motildamulgrew That's funny! I definitely have my comfort zone when it comes to shades. I've always been the same way about makeup. My mom never wore any makeup at all, but once a month or so she'd take me to the drugstore to pick up a few things because she knew I loved it. Great memories.
The eyeshadow palette is so pretty but I don’t like the pink blush, I know it goes with the theme but a nice neutral shade would’ve been my choice for the blush
Avoid getting into eyes 🤔 I wonder if the scents in the eyeshadow can cause burning/stinging sensation if your get in the eyes? For people with sensitive eyes I mean. I just got the wet n wild coffee cat palette, and I remember someone mentioning it smelled like cigarettes/ashtray and not like coffee. So I held the palette up to my nose and indeed it has the most nauseous smell ever!!! I don't bother opening it! So I'm sort of worried about these scented eyeshadows, especially because they are pumpkin spice, cinnamon spice, gingerbread spice- we don't really know how the added fragrance affect out eyes? I tried the too faced soft peach matte concealer and yikes! It had the strongest smell and made my eyes water! I tried it on and again, my eyes would not stop watering from the fragrance!
It’s certainly possible, Anna. It just struck me as so odd when I saw it. I know the Gingerbread Spice didn’t have the same warning, so I’m just not sure. I didn’t get the Coffee Cat palette, but I did consider it. Your description of the scent makes me think I’m not missing out. Are you particularly sensitive to scent, do you think?
@@motildamulgrew 🤣 I know certain perfumes can trigger a headache or even a migraine! But since it's so popular nowadays to add a "fun" fragrance to eyeshadows I have noticed a sensitivity 🤔 in lipsticks I don't mind a sweet scent/taste, I don't like at all lipsticks that smell/taste like perfume/soap 😭 I don't really like a mint taste in lip balm or lipstick either! Idk, lol! The smell of garlic used to trigger migraines really bad! And of course the smell of cigarettes and weed makes me get a migraine instantly. Huh, I guess I am pretty sensitive! 🤣😂🤣😢
Glad you posted! I bought the Pumpkin palette and wasn't impressed. The glitter fallout is horrible and the color doesn't last long. I think I'll pass on this one, but your eye looks are beautiful!
That’s so interesting about the Pumpkin palette, Andrea-our experiences were so different. I wish you were able to enjoy it more. I don’t blame you for passing in this one.
Hey 👋 Mo! So happy to see you! I’m always tempted by holiday releases! I got the 4 lipstick mini bundle because they’re fun and great colors for autumn/winter. But this set looks very nice! Interesting the eye warning. I’ve seen some palettes that say the same when they have glitter or pigments. Maybe a measure to avoid lawsuits? 🤷🏻♀️ Happy Sunday 🌻

motilda mulgrew the lipsticks are on the way so haven’t had a chance to try them. Last year I hesitated to get it and then went OOS everywhere 😩. Oh I forgot to tell you very interesting story about the cinnamon bear!

Same here!! I’m trying so hard not to also jump into everything they release, i can’t resist:/ & i too am kinda bored of the oranges & red tones.. i wish they put out more cool tone colors at least! I think i’m more interested in the cute lil makeup bag tho:))
The cinnamon bear red was featured on 2018 mini lipstick set is such a beautiful red shade!! I’ve been rocking my mini since 2018 and I LOVE it, also the formula is really comfortable. I do love tin quality better, specially those tiny tins!! I got this years lipsticks and I cannot recommend them enough!!
Mony-yes, you’re right! Someone else mentioned that about the mini from 2018 it didn’t even occur to me to check that set(it’s here somewhere). I got this year’s mini set, too. I wore one of them yesterday!
Great review as always! I agree that typically the cardboard sets aren't as great. I have gotten them in the past & the quality is not there. However, the packaging is what always draws me in but I have been good the past few years! HA! The colors all look fabulous on you! I am not a liquid matte lip fan and I have lots of pinky/reddish palettes so I think I may pass on this one. Have you seen the mini salted caramel & pumpkin spice palettes? Those are calling me!

idk if it's just me but I'm disappointed by the pigmentation as it appears on this video. I am really interested in this based on the cute concept but I guess I was wanting more pigmentation, like sugarpill.
Sure, Niss Face, I can see if you’re comparing this to something more like Sugarpill that this would seem much less vibrant. I like the cute concept, too. Hopefully my swatches were helpful for you.
