I walked around the zoo to see the beautiful zoolight preparations and stopped by the panda exhibit to see if there were any constructions. The yard is empty, but Tian's energy and memories will always be there. I was happy to see the panda signs still there and even a panda holiday tree in the zoo store. I hope everyone is doing okay, and I am sending you Panda hugs.

There is a good video on BBC of the Pandas in the Edinburgh Scotland Zoo and the preparation taken to move them back to China. One of them likes music so a radio is in his crate. Of course, Edinburgh is not happy to be giving up their Pandas either.

Is there a way for Smithsonian with their China contacts to give us periodic updates of where our Panda family is located after they are moved? Also, of course, how they are doing. It's hard to go cold turkey in watching them for 3 years to ....... nothing. Thankyou for your efforts to keep them alive in our minds. In our hearts ❤ is a given !

There have been a few video updates of our DC panda family on other RU-vid channels such as Panda Panda, iPanda, and Panda Bei Bei. These channels also show videos of other pandas so you have to look to find the ones of Mei Xiang, Tian Tian and Xiao Qi Ji. Also, on the Smithsonian National Zoo website there is an article (with pictures and videos) dated December 2, 2023 all about the trip back to China and the keepers' experiences in China. I hope you can find these updates as it is so good to see the pandas again. They are still in quarantine so they have smaller enclosures and yards.

P.S. There is also a very good video on the RU-vid channel of iPanda titled "Memorable Moments of the Mei Xiang Family" from about 2 weeks ago.

Thankyou for your concern & info. I have seen some limited video of them in quarantine & will check further for the ones you mentioned. I so miss our loveable family & the adorable daily antics of XQJ! He has such a beautiful spirit that shows & such cute ways like how he would sometimes back Into things instead of going face first. He was so funny & entertaining I would laugh alot because he did such cute things. He became a Waterbaby & the endless somersaults! Also I revisited the recent video where he pulled opened the fence board & looked back at it from afar, "what'd I do?" There are so many memories that come to mind. Thankyou everyone for staying with me here. Iam still grieving but iam sure they are doing just fine. I wish I could see them again.

You're welcome. I miss seeing QiJi on a daily basis too. It was fun peeking in on the panda cams to see what antics he was up to. I remember when he pulled the fence apart, his reaction was hysterical! I always loved his swimming sessions too, so cute and funny! One more channel to check out is Yeekit CC there have been some really cute videos of QiJi's big sister Bao Bao and her cub Bao Li, which bring back many memories of QiJi pestering Mama!

From what I understand all.of them will be staying in Wolong. There have been a few videos of them. Erum Chad on utube also ipanda. I have never seen China put out videos of bears indoors while in quarantine before. Nice if them to put some out now.
