I played eso at release , got lvl 50 on a toon ,then quit to pc problems , restarted the game 1 week ago , my brain is exploding from all the ESO information I get from YT . This game is great but for me its overwhelming atm . Like your vid 's , you're very funny and you give good information , THX
PvP never was the selling point of ESO sadly. It does make sense PVE in Elder Scrolls is more important but there are so many things they could add with minimal effort such as a guild vs guild arena etc. Those arenas would stay barren most of the time but having the possibility is great, especially if you could make your own guild fight eachother for funs and practice or a bunch of friends dueling eachother.
The overall geography of PC-NA pvp: The skilled duelists, veterans and the streamers go to DC, some form ball groups. AD is the most welcoming for beginners and has a large number of guilds, many are also squishy, which helps to balance. EP has a lot of solo players, (many fans of Skyrim and Morrowind) it is scattered and disorganised, but has a vicious zerg once you step on the anthill. They appear from all over the place, hidden in forgotten corners across the map. I believe EP also has the most number of gankers in IC. Sieging is fun 😜
Maybe on Greyhost, but in Blackreach it's simple: DC is a non-entity while the hatred between AD and EP rages on bitterly even if no one remembers why anymore.
As an EP main I can testify to the sheer amount of solo players we have. Especially in the no CP camps. Outside of MYM I roam solo on my Templar until the action kicks up and then we all come out of the woodwork. No CP camps on EP are more welcoming to beginners than CP ones. My friends and I love teaching interested newbies during MYM especially. Have made some great friends on EP in spite of the lone wolf nature of the faction. We definitely have a lot of skyrim enthusiasts though, 100% accurate.
The PvP guild I'm in takes this event as our vacation time and runs in the less populated campaigns making as much AP as possible and otherwise just goofing off.
That is a very good question. There is no mention of there being a double tel var bonus in the PTS patch notes (forums.elderscrollsonline.com/en/discussion/644544/pts-patch-notes-v9-2-3?) but there WAS a 100% increase in tel var earnings from NON-PLAYER sources feature in the LAST Whitestrake's mayhem event (www.elderscrollsonline.com/en-us/news/post/64353) so it may be safe to presume that it's very likely that the same thing will happen during the next Whitestrake's Mayhem as well.
I hate the changes to the XP in Witches and now Mayhem, I liked keeping the buff on alts I only use for my tier 1s and baby toons, sometimes for months :( Love your vids tho! The outfit style seems cool. Hope to get a few more builds ready on NA by next year
Btw PS NA is mostly half of DC eating Play Doh while EP leaves a bunch of AD territory on the map and picks on DC and then AD leeches. Don't feel like EP sieges much, they mostly zerg and send ball groups to 3 story keeps lol, it's harder to find DC coldfire.
Oh man as a PvPer I love the event, seeing cyrodil lag with so many players makes me smile. Suddenly everything is even more chaos, watching groups of noobs and pve'ers get bombed is fun.
Hi ESO fam. I'm fairly new to trading in the game despite logging in 1k+ hrs now. Any recommendations for a nice trading guild? I have tons of crafting mats to sell that idk what to do with.
I Really want to know why so many players Dislike PvP. I want to sit down with someone who does not like PvP and just pick their brain and try to understand why they dislike PvP. I know why I am not enjoying PvP as much recently, I could give you 100 reasons- all of them about the state of the game, but I know for newer players that its a completely different reason. If you don't like PvP and you find and read this comment, could you please tell me why?
I'd be curious to hear what people have to say as well, so if you're reading this comment, don't be shy - you're welcome to share your thoughts! One day I'd definitely like to do a kind of "deep dive" style video, like the ones I've done in the past, to take a look at why the community feels this way. I can think of a couple of reasons (the performance problems, the steep learning curve, the animosity that can come out of killing other players, etc) but I'd be curious to hear other perspectives.
I find pvp is much harder to get into than pve. Cyrodiil and bug-grounds vs trials, dungeons, zones, quests and arenas plus much easier to understand builds. There's a lower floor for pve.
I just _really_ dislike competition in general. I don't even look at the PvE leaderboards. I hate the very concept of ego and competition. I did all the PvE stuff in Cyrodiil, and I'm slowly picking away at Imperial City stuff, but the whole thing is 100% uninteresting to me. From a bird's eye view, world PvP in ESO to me seems to be 40% running around in groups trading keeps without really confronting one another, 40% actual PvP clusterfuck confrontations where the main enemy is your latency, and 20% ganking randoms and PvErs. None of that sounds like fun, so I avoid it. Also like... a freaking Daedric prince is literally in the process of taking one of the pillars holding existence in place but sure, lets fight amongst ourselves out in the fields. F*cking really?
for new players it can be a bit overwhelming. just imagine: you've just got to level 50, got first CP and you think it's about time to fight someone in Cyrodill. you teleport and are ready for some action. you find someone to 1v1 and it turnes out the guy have like 2kCP and whacks you out to Oblivion. i'd shit myself :P
I would like pvp much more if people actually fought. Every time I try to fight someone it just ends up being another asshole playing dance around the rock. How is that fun? I have better things to do than chase people around rocks and structures for an hour straight.
On Xbox, a lot of people suck so they literally always put 10+ siege on a 8-10 man group who farms their zerg, I don't know about your Cyrodiil on PC but now we're dealing with so many pugs who negates us the whole time.
town dailies are more of a risk during MYM. too many gankers sit around now. honestly easier to just pvp, especially keep defenses but that might be my annoyance at getting back to turn in and dying before i can talking.
Tbf, "fixing pvp" can mean a lot of different things to different people. The performance issues are still there, although not as bad as they have been in the past, and bugs that have been around for ages haven't been dealt with (like the stuck in combat bug, getting stuck in walls/sinking through the map, etc). At the moment, there are some pretty wacky balance issues too but that's not a new concept or anything ;p
@@KevinG9012 oof ok yeah if that's what you didn't like, then I have bad news for you current meta is still DoT cancer - they're used as spammables (meta is arena DoT sets and sets that buff DoTs and people are unironically running zaans on every damn class) ;p

My advice for PvEers going in for tickets is to not moan about an event being PvP. Majority of PvPers only PvP, meaning they get 2 events a year, with PvE players getting 10. The balance for ticket rewards is skewed towards PvE players. Jay put up with it for 4 weeks in total. Dip in on a quiet campaign. Get your tickets, then leave. Any daily quest will give you the tickets. And you can pick them all up in advance, complete them on multiple toons, then just hand them in during the event itself. Meaning your are far less likely to see another player and be killed.
