1) Thank you for choosing THE WIDOW ON DWYER COURT! I cannot wait to hear your (always insightful) thoughts; 2) If you've not yet read Lisa Jewell's The House We Grew Up In, please do read it (or rather; listen to it--it's BRILLIANTLY narrated). The story is both beautiful and heartbreaking. It is still my favorite LJ book. xxx
I'm so excited to read it! Congrats again!!! So happy for you 💕 And thanks for the LJ audio tip - I haven't read that one yet, but I have the physical book. You know I'm always looking for a good audio so flagging it. Slowly reading her to zero....very slowly 🙂
@@ChapterandConverse Me too!! I still have a few early romcoms to get to. There is something about the way she creates characters---she is truly one of the best writers on the planet. And she's also super nice! (Plus she loves dogs.)
@@lisakusel6102 I totally agree - LJ is amazing. I've listened to a lot of interviews (podcasts too) and loved hearing her talk about her writing process. Totally transparency. I could listen to her talk all day long!
Hallelujah and hooray for new Marian Keyes! I’ve been a long time fan. It seems as though no one talks about her and others like Sophie Kinsella, Jennifer Weiner, or Jane Green.
SO many great titles, Audrey! I favorited so many! PS - I just finished MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT from our favorite author and really enjoyed it! I still cannot believe I was standing there talking to Riley Sager about vacationing in Maine - What a nice guy! Still reeling over it!
I am so excited to read Lisa Jewell’s book…the tv show was a favorite and I wanted more….i think this is awesome and I’ve already purchased the book of course….
Life does get busy doesn't it. Have not stopped by for life kicking up its heels! Just ordered Breaking the Dark by Lisa Jewell for my daughter's birthday. She is a huge Marvel fan. Instead of reading I have been stress buying more books than I will ever read! Love watching your video's. Hope life settles down and you can get to the great selection of books on your TBR. Be well.
The cover design of No Road Home reminded me of a book I read a few years ago When No One Is Watching by Alyssa Cole. Not sure if you read it or are familiar with it. You may have recommended it perhaps?
You are so right about John Fram + Alyssa Cole! Great eye. And yes I did read Alyssa's book. I picked up her new one and need to get to it. Also stress-buying books. Trading one bad vice for another, but somehow book-buying seems a little less bad...haha! Hope you're having a great weekend. I took some self-imposed downtime yesterday and finished The Hollywood Assistant. It was just what I needed!
Thanks Audrey! I have 5 Bingo squares done, 5 more are pending and 2 others picked out as my "next to be read" Bingo prompts. I'm retired and there is still never enough time to read even a small percent of the books on my TBR list. It's still exciting to hear about new releases and dreaming that I will one day get to them all. Also, I wanted to say congratulations to Lisa Kusel for the upcoming release of her debut novel--The Widow On Dwyer Court! My library doesn't have it listed yet but I will check back after the publication date. Sounds intriguing! 🤭
Great Bingo progress! And seriously never enough time for all the books - I spent a few hours just reading yesterday afternoon. Decided everything else could wait 🙂
Love your videos. Our reading tastes are so similar. I use your previews to put a lot of the books on reserve at my local library. I am retired, so am able to read and read and read some more!
So happy you're finding some good books in here! I just borrowed a small pile from my library too - I usually lean on them for audiobooks. Happy reading!!
So many great books! I’m kicking myself for not getting The God of the Woods as my BOTM. I’ll end up listening to it. I keep forgetting about Marian Keyes. I’ve loved everything I’ve read of hers.
I feel like I've been neglecting Marian big time!!! Need to get back in a groove like I did with Patrica Cornwell and then tear through a bunch of her books. Love her too 💕
Lots to look forward to. My TBR is growing. Love Shari Lapena, this one sounds good. "Curtains rarely twitch," what a line! I love books about writers, of course. Historical fiction set in the 70s. Mind blowing. Have to digest that for a while.
I can't with the historical fiction "category" - I'm choosing to ignore it. I"m also the person who thinks the 90s was 10 years ago so there's that 🤣 And that line, right 🙌🏻 So simply but so evocative.
I've been waiting on this video from you. The Lost Story by Meg Shaffer is coming out this month. My buzz word is author too. So thank you for all you do
Just started the video. Had 2 pause it and let you know that you're the reason why I purchase UK book versions. For the MOST part, the UK versions are so much better, visually, than the US versions ..... Okay. Back 2 watching the videos .....
Since you like SA Cosby, I think you’d like Eli Cranor. His new book, Broiler, came out 7/2. Thanks for putting this all together (and exploding my TBR lol). I know it's a lot of work and it's much appreciated!
