I never noticed the rear headrests dropped out of the way like that. That's so cool! The S mode isn't so much a manual mode, but rather a maximum gear selector. Its default setting when sliding from drive, S4, is the same as the OD OFF buttons in the trucks of yesteryear. S4 locks out the two overdrives and the truck will otherwise use the three underdrive gears and 1:1 fourth gear like normal. It's also handy for first gear if you're going for a fast 0-60 time. Stock Toyota programming shifts out of first gear early even at full throttle, about 1000 rpm below redline, even though the truck's 381 hp rating is very close to the maximum rpm. By using S1 to lock out 2nd gear until redline and executing the shift manually, then sliding back over to drive, the truck will yield a better time. The only real downside is that S2 doesn't lock out first gear for low traction situations.

Bed size for this model (Crewmax) is 5 1/2 feet. The other model (Mine) Double Cab is 6.5' . This is my 3rd Tundra, it rides like a Lincoln Town car. Love this truck, I got my with the Spoiler fender guards; looks great. The grill is a throw back look for Toyota models in the 60's (HiLuX). Mine has the split window in the back. Price out the dealer was 42K and some change, they gave me $18,500 for my 2010 Tundra (4.6) The 5.7 really makes it feel like a big boy truck, the dual exhaust sound like a truck on steroids.

remote suspension reservoirs do not provide extra suspension travel or articulation, they help provide consistent, extended damping power under extreme driving conditions, by providing extra suspension fluid and room for cooling they are designed to reduce heat fade to the shocks. Although most remote-reservoir type suspensions are off-road oriented and do provide longer travel.

Looks like a great truck. Shame that the TRD Pro edition doesn't add more usable features like manually locking diff or crawl control, and headlights are still halogen but I guess newer model will soon make all of those available.

Also I just got my TRD Pro 2015 lol I like this one V8 then a twin turbo 2022 . I drove the 22 and I didn’t like at all . So that’s why I got this 2015 with 33Milles for only 43K crew max .

Im in Australia and to get one of these from a dealer here you are looking at about $130'000 AU or about $91'000 US. OK they have to convert them to right hand drive but man trucks are cheap in the US.

Prices have significantly gone up in the Us. A few years ago I remember seeing a chevy Silverado for 33k. if you get the same one in a 2015/16 model it's in the 40s or 50s

I own a 2011 double cab 2wd sr5, Its comes with a-lot more storage, dual a/c climate control, better seats and it costs a-lot less. Why buy this model again?

5.5 foot. if you get the double cab instead of the crewmax it goes to 6.5 I wanted the double for the bigger bed but then I figured I'm getting this truck and it will be comfortable in the cab with crewmax and I always can get a trailer.

The exhaust does nothing to add to the posted HP; which is the same HP for the single exhaust. You can get a little more throttle response with a cold air intake. Except for the suspension, there is no advantage over even a SR5 TRD offroad 4x4 pkg. This series shows taking a regular TRD Offroad 4x4 pkg and upgrading it with TRD parts to make it essentially a TRD Pro; since they are quite difficult to get ahold of unless you want to order one and wait. ru-vid.com/group/PLRpFhEYj3CRvuy-oa0yO8XXJL0FOmHwI4

No hyperbole Chris!I have owned Toyota's since 1987 and I have been pleased with the quality and dependability of all Toyota vehicles. However, the quality of Toyota have constantly declined over the recent years. I credit the decline to the fact that they are now made and assembled in the good old US of A. My fear is that Toyota is quickly becoming the new Ford. Not looking forward to that! As for the new tundra, Toyota might consider renaming it Tunka because it's all plastic. 😁

+MikesCarInfo 6:25 Yeah, the exhaust is a very very important part of the performance of an engine. I mean this vehicle has a 5.7 liter V8 with 381 horsepower but the exhaust is a major reason why it is getting all that horsepower.

+Colin Milstead I was trying to say that the exhaust allows the engine to reach it's maximum HP. HP is not created by exhaust pipes but the engine's power can be drastically reduced with inadequate exhaust... wouldn't you agree?

why Toyota Truck does not have his Locking gas cop tank ?? it is not safe for the Engine specially if you always parked up your Truck outside.Somebody might drop anything in the Gas tank, no lock. Think about it.

+Switchbladeakc Former fork tounge car salesman. Running boards are an accessory like wind deflectors. Toyota offers those too but nobody wants them unless they need them. And like running boards are popular with the disco era buyers.
