What I Like about the highlander is that it still looks good after 7 years. Also The Pilot has the best design without a doubt but honda changes the Pilot every decade. They did this when the 2006 pilot was "out of this world". Also Toyota has engines More Reliable than Honda.
Just bought a 2016 today, I didn't get to bring it home because the dealer is installing leather seats , but the video was very helpful in covering the works of the car. I read the manuals cover to cover to learn how everything functions. Thanks very informative.
Mike Mike Mike....What a wonderful presentation....I bought a 2016 yesterday...one owner/lease 30,000 miles.. Couldn't be happier. So grateful you did this video...Even 4 yrs later it's reaching people. Not only that...I feel you are super presenter... Best regards, Nancy(in NY)...
Oh I'm so pleased you're still there...I just finished watching another 2016 presentation....I need a nap...little stayed with me...everything you showed us...stuck....I'm finishing coffee & going to give this a spin...I got the dark dark red or maroon with black interior(not sure what they call the color...) ~cheers~ and thank you for letting me know you saw the Thumbs Up ! I just tried to give you $15 through PayPal...the link...it said..."Sorry we cannot help you.." etc... I tried quite a few times....sorry it didn't take...
@@leahisabella6102 oh my goodness...how cool is that ! Hope you love your's as much I am loving mine...imagine getting a 2016 with all the bells and whistles...it has everything! ENJOY Leah Isabella....Enjoy !!! :)
VitaZgal We definitely have been enjoying it!! We are going to the beach in a few days so we can’t wait to take the highlander on the trip!! We will have so much room and just have more fun!
outstanding walk-thru. great job focusing not just on features/specs (like everyone else) but also on the all-important Average Joe consumer experience of operating the various controls/day-to-day, little things that make or break a car for people. loved it - really helped me!
dude - after this video and your night lights video, went out and bought the '16 Highlander on 3/10. really loving it; you were right about everything and I couldn't be happier. bought WeatherTech mats for it - in love! fit like a glove! Thanks again!
xle can tow 5000 because it has tow prep pkg bigger radiator alternator etc. The receiver hitch and wiring harness is extra $685 option and this one doesn't have. Good review thx
You have some of the best in depth car videos, man! I never thought I'd sit back and watch a dude talk about a car for nearly a half hour, but your Sequoia video hooked me right in, and now your Highlander video is making my future car planning real tough cause you make these cars look so amazing! Thanks for your videos, man. Like and a sub from me.
Thank you for your informative video on the 2016 Highlander. I just purchased one and am upgrading from a 2006 Highlander. It is a little overwhelming but your video made it easier to understand the new technology.
+Randy Johnson Thanks for your feedback Randy :) The average age of cars on the road is almost 12 years old... people are usually a little overwhelmed when they get into a new car considering all the things that have changed.
I have a 2016 Highlander Limited w/ Platinum. It is better that what you did. I have a panoramic sunroof, when this one has a normally aspirated single panel.
Great review. I live in Australia but we call it the Toyota Kluger as the Hyundai has the rights to the name Highlander. We have the 2015 model which are built in the USA. You showed some features that I didn't know we had.
With the car on and the key fob in my pocket while I'm outside of the car, am I able to lock the car? If I were to want it running to keep the passengers cool, I'd like it locked for safety reasons. Can't seem to do that- also, do you know if there's a secure park feature which won't allow you to shift into drive unless it's deactivated? Awesome video. We actually bought this exact model because of it.
There is a nice price 2016 Highlander with 46k miles for 25k at our local dealer. Would you get rid of a 2009 f150 King Ranch with 112k miles for one. I would take my wife's 2018 Crosstrek and she would take the Highlander.
Stuck between the Pilot EX-L, Highlander LE plus, and the CX-9 Touring. Driving, Reliability, Safety & Interior Space are the main factors. Any advice ?
Thanks for the feedback. I have narrowed it down to the Pilot and CX-9. The Sport is the base model in the CX-9 so I was going to get the Touring or even Grand Touring. Again thanks for the feedback ! Very hard decision.

Has any complaints about the sunroof leaking when it rains or snow because I really want the one with the sunroof but has anybody complained that it leaks
Just bought a 2016 XLE and the specs say Folding Htd Pwr Side Mirrors. Does this mean they will automatically fold in when parked, or does it indicate they are powered mirror / adjustable for visibility - but manually fold in?
This vehicle has a steering wheel problem , been having it since 2016 and now it has 100000 miles , and I think it must be the steering when going over rough streets , can hear the vibration slightly in my steering wheel , does anybody know what it might be!? Thanks

At 41,000 subscribers and over 100,000 views on more than a few vids on your channel are you not earning enough to be able to continue working on growing this channel? I realize it may not be a lot but your channel is growing as you do a wonderful job. By no means trying to put u down in any way but i think you'll do just fine without the concept of the tip jar.
Great car! I had the 2015 Highlander until I was rear-ended last month & it was destroyed in an accident. The car took the impact fantastically and all 4 of us in the front 2 rows walked away unharmed. I will buy another one if I can get a great deal. The movie clip taught me a few things that i was unaware of that are worth the complete viewing. :-)
My fiance’s parents “sold” us their 2016 highlander after having us drive it for a month. I’m so excited owning this car I just had to watch this video.
+BSCEsteban I went into my purchase way too fast and took a Toyota Highlander. So the other day I am driving down a residential street and a young African American guy throws his hands up in the air and starts yelling at me as I pass him. Turns out he thought my Black Highlander was a cab and I do see them everywhere being used for that. The silver looks awesome the black is a dust and dirt magnet. Coming from a 140,000 mile CRV that never had a single issue, only oil changes, I do look at the Pilot with envy since I completely overlooked it when car shopping. Honda quality is legendary. Highlander is kind of squat and low, does this make it more stable on turns? not sure. Overall I am happy, I just hope it is as reliable as my Honda was. Honda was totaled in an accident. Update: 9/22/2016 My Highlander's breaks seems to be wobbling when breaking at high speed. They keep the car for 2 days and cut rotors. 1 week later it makes a grinding noise when I break. Not another trip to the shop, another taxi home, and another lost day without a car :(
+BSCEsteban - Test drove the Pilot and Highlander. Chose the Highlander. Pilot cabin felt more cramped. The displays were not as intuitive, felt cheap, and could date quickly. I liked the rear suspension feel of the Toyota. The Pilot had a livelier feel which was a little more bounce. Price wise, the Pilot was a hair less for the same features but we were able to negotiate with Highlander dealer.
Do not choose Toyota, 4 years I got 2 new Toyota AWD car, first awd sienna , driving 2 years later about 25000 miles have tire wearing problem, they tell me change 4 new tire and 4 wheel alignment will fix that problem, 1200 Dallas, not , couldn’t fix that problem tire wear, and I trade in get AWD highlander, 2 years later run about 26000 miles come out exactly same problem tire wearing, and they tell me exactly same way to fix, I just want they Guarantee will fix tire wearing at this time then I spend 1200 Dallas to fix, but they won’t even I talk to manager , the answer is same no guarantee change 4 new tire and complete 4 wheel alignment will fix that problem tire wearing, so just be careful when u choosing Toyota car, will give you life trouble
