I'm also going to make some time to try it with the matte paint and see of the results are different. I'm wondering of the iridescent and gold got "lost" in the Multisurface shine.

Jessica can you test these three mediums of black paint and show us how they look, please??

Yes! I was thinking of both mixing them and putting them as a "top coat" on black!

As far as I know for iridescent to fully show its shine it needs to be applied with a dark background, usually black.

It definitely shows better with the dark backgrounds but can also have a light fairy effe t on lighter colors that I like!

Thanks Jessica. The resin really made a difference and brought out the quality of each. I can see how they would have very specific uses, but in general I would probably prefer a good metallic paint. I appreciate the test...you get an A+. Lol!

I'm curious to see if it comes out differently with matte paint...I'm wondering if the iridescent and gold got lost in the shine of the Multisurface paint.

@JessicaRocks Hi I have questions about using a clear liquitex to make my own glitter paint. Any chance you know how and could advise? I'm tired of buying the chunky glitterrific ones because they don't last long they get thick and unusable. I have googled but only found glitter mixed in the white ones and color added.

I've actually never made my own glitter paints. I know what you mean about the Glitterific paints, though. I have some Folk Art glitter paints that looks like the colored glitter is in white, but it dries clear where you only see the glitter...kind of like how Elmer's glue is white and dries clear. I actually really love Folk Art Extreme Hologram Glitter paint....it goes with everything and dries clear!

@@JessicaRocks ok thanks for replying. I have so much loose glitter I'm trying to use. I will keep looking. I love the naturalis holographic glitter paint it's really awesome. I have not tried that from folk art brand.

I appreciate the test, but these mediums are not anything I would use. I have metallics, color shift, extreme glitters and pearl paints coming out my ears! 😃❤ I need to stop going to Walmart! Keep up the good work.

Same! 🤣 But I was thinking it might be a good tool for people that don't have all the stockpile I do and could maybe add some flare to regular paints! 😊
