Welcome to my channel! This is the very first video in my "Pre-Nursing Diaries" showing how my first day of CNA school went! I'm almost done with my pre-nursing courses and I'm so excited for what's to come. I plan on documenting my journey into nursing in hopes to inspire and support the rest of you. Fellow esthetician here who is a new LPN nurse and currently in the RN-ADN program. My goal is to finish as DNP with specialty in dermatology and running my skincare business. I’m 29 turning 30 on Dec, I love seeing someone on the same journey. Best of luck for you girl!!♥️

My state requires CNA as a pre-req and if you have CNA experience combined with that you'll def get into an LPN or RN program with ease here. The CNA route is great because most people realize Nursing isn't for them after becoming a CNA and they go another route.

My question was similar to a recent comment that you answered. It just blows my mind how school can be different by state. I'm in Tx and here you can skip the CNA program and prepare for the nursing program. I worked in healthcare for over 20 years and being a Cna was one... I wanted the experience as well as becoming medically inclined. I 'm still in healthcare(Med Aide/Phlebotomy). I'm also a new Licensed Esthetician. The Cna program is what you make of it and can be a breeze if you pay attention and stay on top of your studies. I really enjoy your videos and Im excited to see the day that you become a nurse... And even the differences of what the different schools require blows my mind lol I'm just doing my best to remember it's a part of the process and trying to make the best of it😊Do you still work as an esthetician too??

@@jordanesthetics Yes, however I'm contract working with my other licenses, as for now they supply more of a fulltime income that works extremely well for me. I'm building cliental and working on posting to my Instagram. I tried to work for someone as an esthetician but it didn't work for me. So now I do my own thing and hit those books for guidance. For the most part once I learn something it stays with me.

Thanks for sharing! How are things going? Have you completed the program? If so, are you required to take the state exam to become certified? I'm in Michigan, and it's required.

Hey! Things are going well. I'm still in the program. I'm doing another pre-nursing diaries next week so I'll update you guys on the specifics! But yes we're required to take the state exam and be registered💓

Once we got in class our teacher wasn't really strict. I was able to wear my nose ring and everything until clinical. The only thing she didn't play about was our nails lol

Why are going into that with you’re earning so much as entrepreneur? Can you go into more details? Is the money the same or more?

So I've wanted to go into nursing for a very long time! For the nursing programs I'm applying to you must be a nursing assistant first so that's why I'm in this training. So I'm not actually working as a CNA long term. I enjoy being an entrepreneur but this will just be a new path for me alongside esthetics! I hope this answers your question💖
